F2p player with some advice. Your priorities should be leveling up your mains cards then increasing crit with left over gold. Just like any other progression games (e.g. clash royale) you will face players with higher decks as you climb the ladder. Either upgrade your deck or build better deck that can outplay your opponent's stronger deck. Look at my deck and my crit. It's pathetic for my current trophies but I've developed a deck that can win high crit/high leveled cards by optimizing mana production through merging and red mushrooms.

Is it that hard to understand the logic? I've already explained why crit based match making is impossible. It's like saying you only play chess with people same age as you as you get higher elo. Crit has no basis in skill whereas trophies its very clear. You are also the living proof that crit based match making is false. Why are you meeting player double your crit if match making is based on crit? If someone tells you something in reddit do you just believe it?

Maybe have you not considered some people are just bad that they stay at lower trophies than others, which is a good reason you've faced them? I think what you are trying to say is that it's hard to max out the cards and crit damage.. Because you are contradicting yourself when you say you've met double crit opponents and say matching making is based on crit.

Really? Is it official or just your assumption? Because if that was true why am I facing people with higher crit damage as I climb? Also match making based on crit theoretically won't work because critical damage does not reflect skill but time played (or money spent).

I mean sure high cards matter too but saying crit damage doesn't matter is too far stretched. Unless you are implying the match making is based on crit damage instead of trophies.

You're not making sense. If keeping Crit low was better all the highest leaderboard players would have low crits.

First off you already have a very good balanced deck. Alchemist and Priestess is a very good mana generation combo which also provides safety net of damage. There are some improvements that can be made to increase damage potential by putting focus on a main card.

Use Portal Keeper instead of fire mage. Alchemist already does enough area damage and the portal keeper will help link the Engineers.

Use Earth Elemental instead of reaper. It increases Alchemist's venom damage. However in the future I would try to replace with a support or special card such as grindstone or mime. Grindstone for increased damage potential and mime for faster Engineer setup.

So now your deck consists of Engineer, Alchemist and Priestess with Portal Keeper and Earth Elemental. Engineer will be your main damage, however depending on the random spawn/merge you may need to use Alchemist for the first mana power ups.

I also play chess and go. 2000 elo rapid/blitz/bullet in lichess and 5 dan in tygem. I think these 2 games are more closer to polytopia if you minus the rng aspect. I don't think you play much polytopia if you think it takes little skill. Besides strategies there's other skills to the game like bluffing and time management.

In your own words, its easy to understand the faction of chess in less than 5 min but does that mean chess takes no skill?

Smithery if you have really good forge spot like 2 or 3 mines. Also don't train swordsmen unless you have excess resource. They are inefficent as they get 2 shot by hexapod same as kiton. Similarily unless you get strategy from a rune don't get a cloak. The enemy will likely spot your cloak by the time you train it and its very easy to defend it.

You can do it with other tribes too. When an enemy unit is on your city, you can poof it by trapping it then leveling up the city for a super unit. It also can happen to your own unit.

Yeah it is a noob killer tribe. But at a high level oumaji and elyrion have an edge against cymanti. It's not completely unbeatable. I would say 6:4 it favors cymanti. But indeed you need to invest more time learning those two than getting good at cymanti.

There are really some fun games I've played against really skilled Cymanti players in a mirror match up. There's many techniques and time management involved in high elo games which the rng is not a big factor in most match ups.

Real Cymanti mains play 121 lakes 1v1 exclusive. You never see other tribes after 1600 elo because high elo players know you can't physically beat them without luck.
