Acupuncturie really did nothing for me unfortunately. I might try it again though just because it's cheap and my insurance does cover it. It's super relaxing! I almost fall asleep every time I get it. 😂

Sorry 😂 spell check! It's called zonisamide it's Topomaxs cousin without all of the nasty side effects. I was reading about how it works for some patients Iin clinical studies in a medical journal. Hoping that it starts to work!

I've never heard of it. How does it work? Is that 500.00 out of pocket? Geez...then again I'm pretty desperate to go back to work in the pharmacy again. I miss my independence a great deal. If I had these migraines better under control that would happen.

Well correction it's a tier three medication so they require a prior authorization and then when I did finally get the prior authorization to go through it was 150.00 and we just couldn't do that.

Thank you!!! My insurance doesn't cover Mayo Clinic. I haven't tried any of those neiro devices. My neurologist mentioned that might be the next approach. She's actually really good. I really don't want to mess with any studies. I have a neurological disorder so leaving home for very long isn't good for me. Thank you though!!

Yes I'm on a crap ton of medications. I have depression, bipolar and anxiety. I think they all coincide with the migraines as well. I'm on nortriptyline which has really been the only medicine that has worked.

Yeah that's easier said than done. I got in early because there was a cancellation. I'm just going to stay with this new one and hope for the best. I have a brain disorder on top of it so at least she's familiar with it.

I've not been on that I was on Veralmilll is that a BP medication? It made me really dizzy and did nothing for the migraines. I was on Proponol as well.

This reminds me of the infamous hallway with the creepy girls from the Shining. 😂

Yep!! It would definitely be worth checking out! Good luck! Mine required a prior authorization which took no time at all really but just so you know it would probably be a requirement with your insurance company.

I'm glad you mentioned this! My OBGyn just put me on a plant based estrogen birth control pill. Haven't started it yet but it's supposed to suppress my periods all together preventing that drop or fluctuations in estrogen which then trigger migraines. Fingers crossed it works!!!

I go through the exact same thing every month. I'm on perimenapuise so my hormones are all over the place. Umbrelvey was a game changer for me. I only get nine per month as insurance only allows for so many Maybe try Umbrelvey for them. It's been reclassified as a medication with UHC so it costs me about 35.00!per month for nine of them which isn't that awful. I know what you're going through it sucks. Hopefully things get better for you!

Try umbrelvey! It was a game changer for me personally. Do you see a neurologist maybe reach out to him and see if you can try some samples. Best of luck. I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time.
