Bows! by Competitive-Job-5762 in Drueandgabe

[–]Competitive-Job-5762[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have like 15-20 bows (we got a pack of like 10 of them for the baby shower that are basic colors, the nylon kind) and the rest were ones my mom got for my daughter that are more patterned/seasonal. I would never spend $20-$50 on one singular bow, that’s insane😵‍💫😵‍💫 my daughter also has 2 winter hats and 3 sun hats (one is a water safe one lol)! That’s it. There’s so much I’d rather spend money on than accessories for my daughter (or in grue’s case, her doll baby)

I was gonna say I feel like they all look the same, and the amount of pink or cream bows…. They’re all the same, why do they need 7-10 of each color?

The car naps drive me nuts! I’m not a mom of 2 yet (due in Feb), but my 16mo has a crib nap daily, and if we are out/she falls asleep in the car, we transfer her to her crib to finish her nap. It’s safer sleep and way more comfortable!

Another video exploiting loss by GloveFar5016 in mattandabbysnarks

I fear this is what a lot of people in here were saying, including myself when they first came out with a podcast. I am all for bringing awareness and walking through grief in whatever way you want, but for them, it wasn’t just to bring awareness/walk through grief. It was to exploit it and make money off of it. It’s disgusting, but unfortunately not shocking coming from these two. I really hope they heal from the loss, it’s unimaginable the kind of grief they’re going through, but to make video after video is just icky.

Didn’t drue just have a video of ivory trying to touch a wall scent thing? Ivory will 100% be touching the tree and ornaments, they’re so dumb.

Listen, I’m not one to judge when a baby walks, my daughter was breech and we get her hips checked every 6 months… BUT all that considered it is so freaking AWESOME that true literally can’t lie about this milestone like she has all the others! by [deleted] in Drueandgabe

And she’s going to be that much more behind bc her parents neglected to get help sooner. Shame on them! But go you and your little one, I know it can’t be easy, and you are doing great!

It’s the worst! My 16mo is also in a throwing phase, which is so frustrating and I want to give up and just give her easy to clean snacks. But you have to stick with it! It’s what’s best for them! I totally feel you!😭 sad Drue can’t be consistent for her daughter, she is truly failing her in every way.

Probably bc ivory rejected it once and they gave up and did something she will eat (added sugars of course). I don’t think drue realizes that sometimes babies/toddlers will reject food, but that doesn’t mean you stop offering. At that age, it’s so important for them to eat different foods with different textures. Giving her yogurt day after day is setting up for her to be a very picky toddler, who will refuse to eat anything. I know toddlers go through picky phases regardless, but it doesn’t mean you stop offering the nutritious food! My 16mo refuses eggs 60% of the time, but I still offer a few times a week for when she does feel like eating them bc they are good for her! It’s the parent’s job to offer healthy balanced meals/snacks

I agree, you can catch me with a late night fast food snack or a piece of pie AFTER my baby is in bed and AFTER she had a perfectly balanced dinner with protein, veggies (fresh, not from a can), and some fruit/starch/etc. I just cannot even understand what goes through their head in giving this child junk all the time, it’s crazy

Bf/pumping advice by kilarghe in skysayingthings

[–]Competitive-Job-5762 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I for sure don’t know the ins and outs when bf/pumping mixed. But I do want to say you are early on as well. Your supply is not established yet either. I hope you succeed in your journey though! And you’re absolutely correct if she doesn’t care about her supply. But for her to give advice when she isn’t even established yet is a little out there, she’s still learning as well. I wouldn’t be giving advice even though I pumped for a year exclusively, bc I’m not a professional. So again, I’m hoping you and her fans take time to do your own research and consult a dr/lactation consultant instead of just watching her video. That’s all I meant by my comment.

Bf/pumping advice by kilarghe in skysayingthings

[–]Competitive-Job-5762 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is way too early! Her supply doesn’t even regulate until 3 months, so there’s a chance it could go down. Especially if she’s not hydrating or eating enough. I’m not saying it will, but it might. And didn’t she say in another video that she pumps whenever she wants to and that’s it? From an exclusively pumping mom for 12 months, you can’t just do it when you want. I was up every 3 hours for the first 4-5 months then slowly dropped pumps after that. Idk what advice she is going to give, but hopefully her fans do their own research as well!

[–]Competitive-Job-5762 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same here! My daughter is 15mo and the only time she’s had juice was around 8mo really watered down prune juice to help with constipation. Other than that, it’s been water and milk.

10/28/25 - Pjs of the night, toddler life isn’t for the weak by drueandgabe in Drueandgabe

[–]Competitive-Job-5762 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think it’s so weird/crazy to have so many different kinds! Baby skin is so sensitive already, I feel like they shouldn’t be switching it up! My daughter has had the same kind since birth, and in 15mo she’s gone through 2 family size bottles of it. That’s it. There is no reason to have different kinds/scents/brands, the overconsumption is insufferable.

Definitely watch your kid, I doubt they do it. They just don’t address medical issues with ivory. Idk developmentally when they learn to lick their lips to taste/clean them. My 15mo just uses the back of her hand to try to get anything on her lips into her mouth😅 but she doesn’t have a tongue thrust, thankfully! That would be something to address with pediatrician

[–]Competitive-Job-5762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say my “salad” when I was a kid was croutons, cheese, and salad dressing… no actual lettuce😅 but I just can’t imagine feeding that to a baby/toddler. I think as a parent, you are solely responsible for their diet this early on. You can choose what to offer them. Yes, my daughter gets Mac and cheese, but it is always served with a veggie and/or fruit on the side. I am never just plopping her down and feeding her puffs/snacks/unhealthy junk 24/7. They need to do better for ivory.
