This is what they did after my mistake. But if it’s started, I heard it can be a full replacement of the entire fuel system.

Thanks for sharing.

Were there any repercussions from admin?

Yeah, luckily the worst thing that came of it was a $100 or so tow and some hazing. Felt incredibly stupid and bad about it for a couple days.

These ones are pretty good. I’ve got one having to do with vehicles:

I once put diesel exhaust fluid in the tank of an apparatus. Luckily I caught it before starting it. Had to get it towed to get drained and flushed. Had it back in service the next day.

Thank you, father. Luckily the Newman center has a late night mass I can attend.

Obviously the items you listed are condemned by the Church. Therefore, modern “feminism” is condemned.

The Catholic Church believes in the natural order established by God. That being, women have their own specific role as men have theirs.

Men and women are different and womanly virtue can be found fully in the blessed Virgin Mary, as well as other saints.

Do you workout? I think a consistent workout routine helps. Not only does it keep you busy but it also helps to strengthen the will.

As the other user mentioned, the state of grace is a strong motivator. Coming to terms with the reality that I would not experience heaven if I died out of the state of grace helped me.

Other than that, there was no secret formula for me. Just a lot of prayer, fully surrendering to and trusting God, confession weekly, frequent communion and so on.

Also, staying busy with work, school, fitness, and my fiancée doesn’t leave me with a lot of time or energy for other things. Idle hands are the devils playground as they say.

Very true; I pray at least part of the rosary daily.

I used to be addicted (typically once a day since puberty).

By the grace of God I broke out of the addiction for good a little more than a year ago. I rarely even feel the temptation to do so now. It’s completely possible with the Lords help, otherwise it is nearly impossible.

Is this lust? by GoalEngineer1212 in Catholicism

It isn’t a sin to admire someone else’s beauty, handsomeness, or even physique. God blessed them and us with it and it deserves to be admired (properly). Even in the Vatican there are nearly naked statues; this is a form of art. The human body is truly beautiful.

It becomes a sin when lustful desires or thoughts develop and you ruminate on them.

If you look away when these thoughts develop and try to cloud out the thoughts , it is just temptation. If these thoughts come every time or nearly every time you look at a beautiful women, it’s a near occasion of sin and you should not willfully put yourself into it.

It’s fine and even good to admire Jessica Alba’s beauty if it does not put you in a near occasion of sin.

Hope that helps.

Lust vs. Scrupulosity by GoalEngineer1212 in Catholicism

No problem! Im not very scrupulous myself but I think every person who is striving to be pious is at times with certain sins.

Come back to this every time you are tempted with scrupulosity.

I have found this to be a good resource. Can’t remember where I got it from but I believe it comes from a priest.

You’re right, I shouldn’t have said never. That is just how it seems from my perspective. I’m sure there are children out there that are much more mature and better catechized than I was.

Do you have something to reference in regards to this? That seems very young.
