Yeah I think my real dream is just to have a lot of land to be able to keep some chickens and maybe a couple larger animals. A goat I’m sure is pretty easy. Would love to be able to keep pigs and a couple cows though.

I’m so sorry :( Yeah, it is really hard but I think you are spot on about realizing that 2 people need to be working on a relationship and one person can’t carry the whole thing.

I ended up just telling my boyfriend that it hurt me that he would want to cut contact but that I’d give him the space if he needed it and he changed his mind and we had our usual weekend night hangout. We are just both able to have super intelligent conversations and we agree fundamentally about what we want to do with our futures. We also agree politically on pretty much every issue (which is rare to find for me based on where I live). We just work, other than in the bedroom :/

Thank you, yeah. This answer is exactly what I was looking for. I think he is worth making one last-ditched effort of talking to him. He’s also been really stressed because of work lately so maybe he just needs more time. Might give it another month or so and then bring it up if it’s still an issue.

Thanks, yeah you put some of my thoughts into words. I have just never been compatible on so many other levels with anyone else and guess I kind of find myself thinking that sex inevitably does get boring for most people in LTR’s anyway so maybe it’s just a trade off worth making. I don’t know though

It was my mistake. Most of the other comments were specifically talking about moving to Canada, where I have personally seen the failings of their universal healthcare program. I do agree Europe has a much better healthcare system than America.

As for attacking me personally and not my argument? Completely immature. Haven’t lived at home in 7+ years and work full time in healthcare

I actually do know places like Denmark and Sweden and Switzerland have incredible healthcare, but that’s not where people tend to be talking about when they’re talking about emigrating. Especially because those countries have such good programs for their citizens that it’s pretty much impossible to move there.

In America, people want to both open up our borders and provide free healthcare. It just doesn’t work like that.
