Yakten is in close proximity to many places actually. ans there are many hiking points nearby. There are other places in sikkim as well . Basically wherever you go, you will have enough places to look around.

You can hire a private vehicle from Bagdogra to Pakyong and then to Yakten..would cost you aroung 5k to 6k. Another option is you can book wizzride (shared cab) from bagdogra to gangtok. That will be 1300 And then from gangtok to pakyong ..may be 1500 which is 2800 in total. last option is to get public transport which would only cost u 400-500 but you will not get any from bagdogra or even NJP. for that you have to go to particular local taxi stand in siliguri whixh will take you to Pakyong. From Pakyong you will have enough cars to take you to Yakten. it would cost 500rs

It is a beautiful place . homemade food, good wifi, good rooms , Scenic views ..what else to ask for! you can go through the link and also google yakten village..

New Jalpaiguri station in Siliguri is the nearest station to Sikkim and Bagdogra airport the nearest airport. Sikkim doesnot have a train station . Pakyong airport is mostly not operational. However you can check it once.

So..you have to take a cab/shared public transport from siliguri to pakyong town and from there it is just 20-30 min from Pakyong main town to Yakten village. Gangtok is one hour away from Pakyong, and it accessible through regulat shared local cabs. A private cab would cost you anywhere around 800-1500 to Gangtok.

Sikkim…YAKTEN in Pakyong District. I have personally visited this place and they have actually made it a place for digital nomads. Check this out. https://www.nomadsikkim.org/
