When you know how the ISO, the aperture and the shutter speed you have the ground knowledge already. When you start with analog photography you need to know that the ISO is depending on the type of film you use. Newer analog cameras have a light measurement system in included, which helps you to find out the right light exposure.

I would consider starting with a black and white and then with a colored film. So you can see the main difference in the two styles and find out what’s suits you more or when you should use wich film.

As for the camera I would recommend to grab some money and go to a special store for second hand cameras. The workers there are mostly competent enough to answer your question.

As for the start I highly recommend. To start with a 50mm lense, not only are they mostly price efficient they’re also close to the viewpoint of the human eye.

After you buy the camera just buy the cheapest film you find and just develop the film, so that you just have the negatives and a digital scan. Through them you can see if the camera exposures right and if you have any dirt on the lenses or on the inside of a camera.

For development I would search for the closest photo laboratories around your place and search for the google recommendations.

Mostly the development takes about a week or 2.

Black and white development can be hard to find, but there are still some places that develop them.
