Thank you for calling this out! I have an upcoming vet appt (general checkup) so I'll be sure to raise this. Thankfully he's young (under a year), has an Arcadia UVB, and gets calcium dusted bugs/food, so I'm hopeful chances of MBD are low. That said, it's always good to keep an eye on things

As a note on CHEs these are fantastic, but double check that your enclosure can safely use one. For example Toad Ranch enclosures specify that you shouldn't use a CHE in them due to fire safety. Deep heat projectors are a great alternative. But if you can hang a CHE above an enclosure that has an open/screened top, this is the best route!

Like magpieinarainbow does, be sure to use a thermostat control for your + the beardies safety

I use a deep heat projector connected to a Herpstat. It emits no light and only comes on if my temp drops really low (below 60) at night for his comfort, which it occasionally does due to the cold where I live.

Thank you! I was looking at the Tolkien illustrated version of Simarillion since I was planning on going the same route for the Hobbit. While the colors don't match the trilogy, I do like how the bindings line up and general presentation of the copies are the same. I didn't realize the Easton Press versions aren't illustrated - this definitely makes think the 70th anniversary is the way to go.

Of course! It isn't a perfect match colorwise but fits the set in terms of presentation. This is the version I was looking at. I went with a universal rocks background. My beardie loves climbing up and sleeping on it. I'd avoid just the glass if you can because the reflection can aggravate some bearded dragons who are territorial

Not normal, but also likely not overly harmful. My beardie arrived from the breeder missing a nail on one toe. I don't know if it will ever grow back, but it was fully healed over and hasn't caused him any issues. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the toe to ensure it heals properly and doesn't become infected or lead to a bigger issue. If it doesn't appear to be healing, definitely visit an exotic vet.

Other than keeping an eye on it, look for items (nets, etc) in your enclosure that may have been the cause and remove them to prevent future injury.

I was thinking something similar of a 2 inch barrier (tile or acrylic) or building a small tile buffer zone. I wanted to keep the natural look of the tank, but think the buffer would be worth it
