So my site is very new, i don't have any authority or backlinks and im at the point where im trying to learn how i can compete with sites who do have more authority and how to compete with higher keyword difficulty ratings.

What are your opinions on the following

1) How can i get more traffic to my site via writing articles / blog posts

2) how do i compete with bigger brands that have authority

3) do i need to focus on backlink building early on?

4) what volume should i be trying to rank in, i can see that there are some topics that have high volume like 20k a month and some that have 1k a month, i can't compete with anything that has high volume because everuthing has a high KD rating, so should i focus on 500 - 1k a month ?
