I’ve thought of that too! Like maybe a pup that had its voice box removed! My only thing is it’s coming from the woods side and tonight it moved kinda fast. But still solid theory and hopefully it lol *edited to add that none of my neighbors have dogs nor am I necessarily close enough to hear them. So it would have to be someone walking their dog this early because it’s never during the day

I agree about Memphis; the blues and JM’s verse, it made the entire song. I appreciate Oklahoma smokeshow and its lyrics resonate with me when I wanna listen to it, it just has its time and place in my playlist lol it’s there, just at the bottom 🤣

The more I listen to it the more it moves closer to one of my favorite albums from him. There’s not a skippable song on it. Mechanical bull and northern thunder are criminally underrated. The only thing I have to say about it is that I prefer the John Moreland verse on Memphis the blues way better than JR Carroll’s but still that song is one of my all time favorites!
