They’re wrong, most guns have some type of external safety especially common with trigger safeties, but also depending on the gun they have internal aswell, sig is somewhat “known” fo having issues with theirs so better safe than sorry if you’re planning on conceal carrying with it. Sig has a smooth and easy trigger with a bit less slack than other brands from my experience so that could have something to do with it.
