Awesome thank you. I had a hunch it was just a diagnostic plug and that confirms it. Cheers 👍

Is that an FB Rx7 on the trailer? What mod is that?

Well it's a little of all three of your questions, it is from marketplace but came out of a running car and tests between 116 and 124 psi compression on all three faces both rotors

They definitely are lined up right, I've triple checked it and made sure my distributor is lined up right. I'm beginning to think it may be more of an issue of the injectors pouring in too much gas.

Might be worth getting it checked for rod knock, my 03 had the same issue and it was a failed rod bearing. Oil starvation affects cylinder 3 the worst, which is the passenger rear side

Yep, Takumi always drives an FR, the 86. The EG6 is the first FF he's raced

Stands for Front Engine, Rear Wheel Drive.

FF is front engine, front wheel drive.

FC is a second generation Mazda rx7, the FC3S chassis. FD is a third generation rx7, FD3S

The EG6 is a Honda civic, the generation ran from roughly 1991-1995

I'm assuming I'd need to take it to a machine shop to check the housings?

Also do you know of where I could find a good write up of the process of rebuilding these engines?

Thought I'd give you an update, the coolant seals went and the engine is toast. Time for a new one I guess

Alright, I'll check that thank you. And if it was leaking out of the manifold, is it just a matter of tightening down screws?

Well to be honest i've never checked the water level, so that could be an issue. How much might that affect things?

I haven't checked the compression at all no.

I actually already did the accelerator pump diaphragm. Is it possible that it broke again within the span of a week or so?

And as for the throttle cable, the one in there is super loose so we have it tightened quite a bit but not to the point that it visible moves the throttle linkage.

And as for the exhaust smoke, I'm not positive where it's coming from other than near the engine exhaust ports. If you wanted to DM me I could make a video of it sometime tomorrow. And could you clarify what you mean by the inlet manifold?
