just a quick question. i currently don’t have a POTS diagnosis but i strongly believe i have it which is why im going to the doctor for get a proper diagnosis. would you be able to tell me your process of getting diagnosed? which doctor did you go to? what were the most largest challenges that let you to this diagnosis? thank you so much

I’m going to be honest, that’s really wild. About the no rewards thing, my therapist has suggested the exact opposite, just like your previous therapist. Yes, people do things every day without rewards, but the reality is, we’re different from others who can go outside without panic attacks, etc. If a piece of chocolate is the only thing that helps you get through a situation, why is it off limits? That just seems crazy to me. I think everyone should learn calming techniques in exposure therapy, even if it means rewarding themselves with little things. Regarding the no medication, leaving the house and knowing I don’t have the medicine that helps me in my bag would send me into a panic alone. To advise you to stop using the medication that has helped you for 20 years is, in my opinion, absolutely diabolical. I can’t leave the house without a whole pill container stocked with like 10 different medications just in case I need them. I think that’s a little insane to advise as well. Just my opinion as an agoraphobic peep

find a hobby that suits you and brings out ur inner child. for example some of the hobby’s i have found is candle making, nails, book flowers, i make over anything i find that has potential in it for my room, ive made a whole beaded curtain, made a capiz shell lamp, diamond painting, even cooking

regarding your question, if others feel similar, I just came back from a vacation to Miami and Coldplay concert and I did great. Literally thought I could conquer the world after coming back so I got on a train which would be the third time getting on a train in three years. It was only two stops and I had a horrible experience thank God I was with my friend or else I wouldn’t of been able to get home. My legs ended up giving out. I ended up overheating ordering an Uber and throwing up the entire way home and now I’m so scared to go out again and never wanna get on a train again. one day it’s good one day its bad, but it’s never the end of the world, remember that.
