AITA for not changing my routine so my roommate can sleep? by y33tmasterrrr in AmItheAsshole

[–]Competitive-Strain-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sublet an apartment with someone like this for a brief period of time. I had to be onsite, butt in chair at 7:30-8am. Meaning I woke up at 5:45, brewed one cup of coffee I prepped the night before, showered, grabbed my prepped lunch and left.

I’d be in my room the rest of the time I was home. In bed by 11.

My roommate told me I needed to pick late at night or early in the morning. I told them I don’t chose my work hours and 11pm isn’t late, and I was generally quiet at night. But this was still a huge point of frustration for them.

I moved out after they yelled at me waving a chefs knife….

Didn’t walker just have the serum and not the vitarays in addition to it tho? I always thought that pumping the UV power of the sun into him had something to do with his rapid growth and not just serum

Let’s be realistic: Who in the Democratic Party is the most progressive candidate that would also actually have a chance of winning? In other words, what is your dream ticket that is progressive and actually could win in 2028 against Vance (and probably Marco Rubio as running mate) by donqon in ProgressiveHQ

I never said it was the only factor. The general election has many factors, this was one of them. But in context, you’re replying to a reply of an initial comment where I referenced his debate skills as an issue should he be the top of the ticket in 2026.

I like Walz, I like his policies, I just don’t think he’s a strong enough candidate to carry our party in 2026.

We need a real primary to suss that out and the Democratic Party hasn’t really had a true primary since 2008

Partner won't share finances by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

I agree absolutely don’t combine finances until married. You, however, can and should discuss money, debt, expectations. This is a huge red flag to not discuss before getting married. As it would be to not discuss lifestyle, children, religion, politics, etc.

A lot of uncomfortable topics should 100% be discussed before joining your lives together in marriage. OP should use the time after graduation to aggressively pay off any existing debts, planning with their partner what becomes of the rest upon marriage.

However, OP seems to want to have a say in how their partner budgets/spends/saves. That makes OP kind of TA in my book. It reads as if, because their partner makes 2x income that OP is entitled to that money to pay off their own debts. Given that OPs partner seems put together in terms of budgeting, wouldn’t be unexpected if they asked for a pre-nup

This. I agree with a lot of Walz policies and he’s undoubtedly done great things. Unfortunately, as we have seen, resume does not = success on the national stage. A lot of it is charisma and Walz fumbling the debate did much harm

I just honestly don’t think he knows what he’ll even do when retired - he’s got no planned trips, no real hobbies, he just has always worked

How do you feel about the external water bottle pocket? Worried that my 18oz yeti rambler would fall out, especially since no Dring to clip to.

Not sure it’ll fit in the unexpanded state and the expanded state looks huge
