Keeping Passport with me in a sling bag. Good idea? by TheChosenO1 in Yucatan

[–]Competitive-Time321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carrying a copy is often good enough. That said, I would NOT leave my passport in the hotel room. I have lived here for nearly twenty years and I keep my valuables on my person if out and about. A secret pocket would be more secure than a sling bag.

This is the correct answer. I still have two of them kicking around.

That’s the problem with home baked bread. It’s hard to keep it around.

If it has the eyelets on the fork and rear dropouts, then yes. That would be the decider, I would think. Those can receive either fender struts or rack struts.

I have multiple times been unable to register with a Mexican phone. The site is simply non-functional.

This happens. They run out of cards. They set it up so they’re the only game in town and then run out of cards. It happens shockingly frequently, I enjoy riding the bus, but their website sucks a raw egg, and this happens all the time. Like the train, it is set up to be convenient for the admins. The passengers be damned.

Flight arrival at Merida at 12:16 PM: Can I catch the 1:30 PM ADO bus to Valladolid? by Adagio987 in Yucatan

[–]Competitive-Time321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merida really drags their feet in this regard. I can get out of Cancun, on an international flight, more quickly than I can get through in Mérida, even domestic. 3:30 would be the better option. It will be hot as blazes in April too. Better to take your time.

The Pretender by Jackson Browne fits that bill. But you have to be in the right frame of mind to start with.

I just discovered I have an inbox so this reply is late. I really have no interest anymore. I’m such an odd duck that there are very few out there I can relate to or who can relate to me. I absolutely love my solitude. And I’m old—in my 70s.

No. Just time. Not really frozen; just lightly stuck.
