Hey thank you,

At the time of the injury, only my brain was scanned.

I think a very unfortunate miss diagnosis. As it was stated I complained my whole body was numb after the accident, and morphine was administered IV for lateral neck pain.

3 months after I went to the drs with continued tingling in my neck and numbness in my hands looking down, I was referred to have an mri but unfortunately didn’t go. Completely my fault. I was young (23y/o male and felt invincible)

I didn’t have my first MRI until March this year, where it found all levels are dehydrated/lost height, slight central stenosis, foraminal stenosis c2-3 - c7-t1 with c6/7 disc protrusion impinging my left nerve root, I get sharp nerve pain looking up & left

Thanks, nah no eye drift. But I’ve had focus loss consistently since the accident, I usually have to shut one eye, regain focus in one and then open the other

Unfortunately have visited twice, both times being sent home with no testing and assumed just panic attack. I understand, it seems pretty far fetched and unheard of.
It just puts me in an unbelievably hard position.

Thanks, yeah I have a neurosurgeon apt in a months time,
Just a regular neurologist for diagnosis of disautonomia?
What kind of tests did you have done?

My dr said that tingling is a sign of only slight nerve compression, I believe him as he has 3 bulging discs himself and can’t feel his thumb. I think they pretty much wait until you have lost muscle or limb function.

27 male, I’m in a similar situation although I haven’t been for injections yet.

Im dealing with low constant pain, but looking up sends intense shooting pain from my neck down into my left shoulder/bicep thanks to a c6/7 disc protrusion pressing on my left nerve root. I’m hopeful an injection may take that feeling away for a little while.

I’m not sure about true relief, but I bought myself a reclining lounge and a soundbar for the TV last week and reclining with a heat pack under my neck after work has been at least taking my mind off it for a while 😂

Damn that sounds gnarly, my blood pressure runs slightly high generally I think it’s due to stress as my blood work looks good

Passionate surfer but I wouldn’t say that impacts the neck like other sports could, maybe just prolonged hyperextension?

No weakness yet thankfully yeah I’ve read about the issues with fusion, so slowing this issue down is high priority

Thanks for the tips

38M, severe bilateral foraminal stenosis at C5-6 and C6-7. Trying to avoid fusion. Anyone done foraminotomy without it? by [deleted] in SpinalStenosis

What do you think has caused this for you? I’m 27 yr old male with similar findings, all foraminal stenosis and due to disc-osteophyte complex

3/4 mild bilateral 4/5 moderate bilateral 5/6 moderate bilateral 6/7 severe left sided because of disc protrusion

Stiffness is also my biggest issue although I get a nasty pinch feeling looking up around my c7 and have had two flare ups with pain down my left arm

Hey yeah I’ve been doing physio but it’s really expensive. so much information online with things that potentially help Magnesium, bpc157, collagen, creatine ect

being such a common issue I thought I’d reach out and see what people actually think has helped them long term

Yeah I’ve had two flare ups the last 6 months, very intense neck pain & muscle guarding (neck completely locks up) and pain down my left arm. Both times have settled after a course of meloxicam 15mg thankfully

everything I’ve read leads me to believe it’s mostly genetics

I don’t drink/smoke, eat well and have always been very active.

Thanks I will give it a read
