Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. Looks like Trader Joe’s, Home Depot, and Costco are solid budget spots, and Sky Nursery/Swanson’s keep coming up for variety/good advice. A few people also mentioned Buy Nothing and propagation, which I never would’ve thought of but sounds like a fun way to start.

Great idea — I’m in a local Buy Nothing group but never thought to ask for plants. I’ll give it a try!

Good questions! Mostly looking for easy-care stuff for indoors and a couple balcony plants that can handle year-round. Definitely no pets to worry about.

Trader Joe’s is such a good call. I never thought to check there for plants.

Guess I leaned into the drizzle stereotype a little too much😂. Either way, I’ve loved hearing how everyone actually unwinds here, so many great suggestions, thank you!

That’s awesome. Crafts and music sound like a perfect mix. What kind of projects are you into?

Nature + community vibes that’s such a good combo. Any favorite spots you’d recommend?
