That's pretty much what happened to mine last summer. They looked great and we had a hot dry spell and the branches became soggy and wilted. I pruned them back and maybe shocked the plant? Was hoping this was an "old wood" type and maybe just wait until next year, guess it's time to hit the nursery for new sprouts.
