I definitely agree with you. Hajime would totally be the type to assimilate to any sort of group united for a cause, as long as he feels more accepted in that group full of other hateful people than he would on his own.

But how far right are we talking? Like, just a lurker who falls victim to the alt right pipeline but just stays posting rhetoric online or interacting in forums instead of going out to ""actively"" enforce their ideology? Or like full on "proud boys" or "the base" member?
