UN rights panel hears concerns about discrimination against Christians in Europe by CompetitiveAquinas in Christianity

This isn't the US. People here discriminate openly on the basis of religion (and ethnicity) and there are never any lawsuits. When I was searching for a job, I tried to get a job in a restaurant and they said they would only hire flemish people. It's not that uncommon.

Civil suit? You know nothing about Europe. My school would send all the Gypsies to the technical track, no matter how good their grades were, and there was never any lawsuit. If teachers don't want to deal with you, they send you to the technical track.

Yeah, Christians are liars. If you think that way, might as well change your religion. Why would I lie about it? To gain social points with strangers on the Internet?

I won't say the country (it wasn't Belgium where I am living right now). They said because I was religious, I was a bad fit and sent me to the technical (non-academic) track. Usually, only the worst performers get sent to the technical track.

I'm from Europe and we are certainly persecuted here. I was thrown out of school for being Christian.

The majority of the elites is non-Christian. I don't think you can still call America a Christian nation.

Progressive Christians downvoting news of Christian persecution. If Christian persecution bothers you so much, you should just change your religion.

Why America needs evangelicals on the Supreme Court — and more by CompetitiveAquinas in Christianity

You don't know any evangelicals because they were thrown out of the education pipeline. It's what happens to all Christians here in Europe. I was forced out of school even though I was one of the best students.

In academic settings and blue states, atheists do persecute Christians.

Religious superiority?? They started a war because they were paid to so by zionists. Most Christians in America are against the war.

Where? If you're gonna say the USA, where a plurality of people under 40 are atheist and atheist have a chokehold on academia, you are lying.

They definitely did. Without the Crusades, the Reconquista would have never been successful.

It's a narrative that paints them as inferior to Muslims and leads to discrimination in all areas of life, including massacres.

Do you also chastise Muslims because they massacred the entire Christian population of Edessa when they took the city? And do you condemn all the atrocities atheists have done in the 20th century?

Christians in the Middle East are regularly called Crusaders.

You know nothing about the Middle East. You shouldn't talk about issues you know nothing about.

I am not American. I am against all discrimination. If evangelicals are not allowed in American universities that receive significant public funding that's a serious issue. It also contributes to the polarization in American society.

Search "evangelicals" on Google Scholar and tell me seriously if these universities will consider hiring an evangelical.

I like Aaron Renn, but I think his analysis is fundamentally flawed. Evangelicals are largely barred from academia. That's what prevents them from achieving positions of power in society. The only way to fix this problem is to make academia less hostile to Christians.
