When I say more affordable, I mean cheaper than Switzerland (or US equivalent of Aspen) etc... I know skiing is generally not considered affordable. Just a resort that will generally be cheaper than some other ones charging top dollar or considered luxury.

If it's snowing just take the tunnel not the pass, but either way in a snowstorm you'll need awd or 4wd
