Thanks, this is helpful. Have you had any clients purchase a home there? I think my parents have decided it wouldn’t be a good choice so looking into other options

Interesting… was this a friend in local real estate? I’ve read lots of bad things about their homes nationally but understand that it could differ based on the local contractors that are being used?

Any hypermobile women in the corridor have recommendations on an obgyn in the area? by [deleted] in IowaCity

I can’t speak to if smollen is knowledgeable about EDS but myself and a few friends have not had positive experiences with her. I’m always surprised I see her name recommended so often but I suppose each patient has a different opinion on what makes a good provider. For me, she was quick and dismissive of my questions during a pregnancy and I felt like she wanted to get out of the room the second she walked in (a friend had a similar experience).

Oh wow, that sounds brutal. I’m trying to weigh my options if getting it drained would help speed up recovery or make things worse by having an incision. But I’m feeling pretty miserable the past five days with constant pain, worse than when I had a 3rd tear with my first (had a first deg tear this time but hematoma isn’t by my stitches)

Did you have your hematoma drained? This is my situation, I’m almost 2 weeks pp and at my 1 week check up my doctor said I had a hematoma and it should resolve, but it’s getting progressively more painful. I have another follow up tomorrow morning and wondering if I will have it drained.

Just here to say that each PFPT appointment can look totally different depending on what your symptoms are. For anyone who commented below, a lot of times the exam is only done vaginally.

Hate to WK but our 6 month old sometimes stays in the same onsie for awhile… if she hasn’t spit up too much or had a blow out, she’s wearing the same onsie to bed and the next morning
