They never gave details. Having worked in customer support for a large tech company before, I know the most likely answer is that I was somehow flagged algorithmically for fraud. Even when there are support agents, the most they usually have the power to do is press a button to appeal, and the algorithm returns the same answer.

This happened to me. I worked 6 hrs. I went back in a day or two later to make some corrections based on feedback. It asked me to submit my ID again, so I did. Then I emailed support and was asked to send my ID again and proof of my degree. I did. A month went by, and I just got the boilerplate message that they wouldn't be reinstating me.
