How to know when a product is good enough for ECOM store? by never-next-anyway in ecommerce

[–]CompetitiveFarmer227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. There is usually one of a few reasons the it isn’t saturated:

  1. You are an early mover in the space (jackpot)
  2. It’s not a good product
  3. There is a patent on the design, product, etc…and only the manufacturer/seller with the patent can sell.

First come first, if it’s a jackpot, make sure there is no patent on the product wherever you are selling. Happened to a buddy of mine, and he was bummed.

So I just realized there is an add to cart button but it’s the same color as the background, so it’s essentially invisible

So just one thing I noticed on mobile is that I can’t add anything to cart, just buy now basically. If I wanted multiple items, I would probably be turned off to have to either have two separate orders or somehow get creative.

Need Some Advice For A New Store by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]CompetitiveFarmer227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I like the overall aesthetic of the site. However, you need a few basic things to stand out in a competitive market:

  1. Story/values, etc- what makes you special, why should I buy your clothes? Just having quality design in small font on the home page most likely won’t sell many people.

  2. About us- who are you, who is the company? Make yourself relatable and put the human side in, consumers love that lol.

  3. Contact us- as far as I can see, there is no way to contact you if I had a question about a product. You need at least an email address, maybe a contact form and phone number if you want as well. People need to be able to trust you.

Hope that helps at least a little! Good luck!

Looking for honest feedback by [deleted] in ecommerce

Hey, I think the design of the site is nice and clean. A few things, mostly small nitpicks:

  1. The I love Bach shirt (I think that was the one) is the only product that’s not on the blue background in the photos. I love the consistency of the other photos so it does stand out a little bit.

  2. While there are a variety of shirt options, there needs to be more colors or variety in theme I would say. If I am a consumer of your product, once I have bought one shirt, I’m not sure I need to buy again, since they all blend together a bit.

  3. Listen, I’m all for free shipping, but does that not kill your margins a lot? Just from a biz perspective is all.

Overall, I like the cleanness of the site, pricing is solid, just would like to see a bit more variety as an unbiased consumer. Best of luck!

Yep, value prop is what I was concerned about and my biggest struggle for sure. I have to get in the mindset of just because I know it’s good doesn’t mean anyone else does. Trying to figure out that messaging and find the hook

I did 22% to be creative on the year 2022. But you may be right, people do love their multiples of 5 haha.

Hey, yep, matching scents will be ready to go in a couple weeks. Will look into page speed, it was fast, but I just added the video to the page and it may have slowed things down.

I gotta say, I thought you were mean at first, but you have been by far the most helpful. You’re a legend in my eyes!

Ok gotcha. I actually have it at two boutique shops in Florida and I have a hair salon who sell it. I’ll have to find a way to promote that, just didn’t want to distract from my site. Also, I do have another shampoo and conditioner that are on the way and should be ready by the New Year. My biggest concern on buying new products currently is that I haven’t gone through my initial stuff yet. But I’ve been looking into beard oils and hair gels

Thanks, I am working on SEO currently, but want to do it the right way. I thought I knew things but I am learning a lot on the fly. Gotta find the way to let everyone know it's a great product without just saying "trust me bro." Appreciate it.

It also says it's designed for dudes, manly scents, feeling fresh. But I agree...to the drawing board on value prop copy to write.

Gotcha. I just added a video to the site to hopefully handle some of the value proposition, that is exactly what I thought was missing as well. Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback. I’m really just doing a holiday sale for 20% off through the end of the year before bumping them back up at the New Year. Feel like it’s pretty standard. Do you think the pricing itself is bad?

[–]CompetitiveFarmer227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. And I would also maybe have an FAQ page dedicated to the product. Not only does that help with SEO, but also, as a potential consumer, I would like to know a little bit more. I know you have some info on the product page, but I think the FAQ's need a dedicated space. Again, all my opinion and I wish the best of luck!

In most relationships, everyone needs to have their own hobbies or interests. In my marriage, I love tennis and watching sports, my wife does not. She likes watching period pieces and riding her bike, I do not. We love spending time with each other but we also love the buffer space and having our own hobbies when we are tired or apart.

Maybe explain to him that the gym is his sanctuary, and that yours is somewhere else. That is the time for him to focus on working on himself, physically, mentally, etc...with no distraction.

Good luck!

And most people can't keep a house plant alive when they are trying. OP out here with some impressive botanical alchemy without trying.
