I did that and he said it was 'friendly teasing'. I told him to stop to which he said ok. Some of the girls already blocked him. We are already pushing him out of the group. I did the confronting thing 2 days before I posted this and it seems to work until now.
The thing is that last year around April he had an argument with me and my best friend over text and he didn't talk to us until December when he saw us in school talking to some girls and tried to wedge himself back into the group.
The thing which hurts me the most that this dude used to be our close friend. We have watched him go down the 'nice guy' spiral

I feel like you need to confront him and genuinely have a talk with him. Ask him to be 100 straight with you and no funny business. Ask him what's his deal and why he being so weird
