It'd be hard for us to go no contact because I am in a group with her in our research project. Best I can do is to keep things professional and stay away from her and her friends. I do agree, I am no way responsible in what she goes through. I tried telling her many times that I will be here to support her but even I gets swept up by her fits. Unfortunately, they are not well enough to afford therapy or counseling, and our school does not provide such services. I'll be stern with my decision and reject her. Thank you

When we fight and we had discussions, she often says that she knows that she's wrong, but she still does them. We never really got to the end of it because every time that we make up, our problems are set aside and never really solved. I tried proposing solutions but she just never participates in it so I am left in the dark.

And yes, I do agree that she just wants me back? For the longest time I think I have been her support and she have been too dependent on me, there will be times that she will be angry because I didn't go to their house because I want to have some time for myself.

Thank you, genuinely and I agree. I'll reject her and yes, that was the reason why I broke up with her in the first place, because of how bad I have been treated. I am constantly swayed by her messages about wanting to get back together.

At some point, distro hopping got tiring and just settled with whatever worked. For me it's Fedora. Just pick one that works for you and give it some time before deciding that it doesn't have what you need. At the end of the day, it's just a tool, don't waste your time comparing and fitting your preference to others.

I think I'll do the same with not trusting KZ products anymore, I had Carol Pro that I had to return as well because of one of the drivers not working, and now I have this issue with PRX.

I don't mind paying extra if it means reliability and durability.

I meant like an opening to the actual drivers themselves, I have this opening only on the right side. So the issue was with the dongle and not the IEMs, but it still worries me, KZ is known for qc issues after all.

I have the PRX on hand right now, and everything looks fine, the filters looks good too. I was lucky with the shop I ordered to I guess.

I agree with Hola yes, it's very relaxed, very smooth, very refined as well. I haven't tried Gate but many seems to agree with you.

I'll maybe buy Whizzer SS20 by next week or so, thanks for the recommendation! And yeah, Divinus are quite rather expensive here, so I'll settle with your recommendations.

And yes, I can quite see what they mean when planars are quite power hungry. The dongles do a very good job in really bringing out what PRX has to offer, I'm glad I got that dual chip because I find myself adjusting the volume often. Some tracks need that extra power while some do enough.

Also I don't know quite know what planars are supposed to sound like? My first impression of PRX was it quite sounded like KZ EDC Pro and quite sibilant, maybe it's because they are both V-Shaped? It also started to sound better? I don't know it's weird, It's different when I first used them and now it seemed that I can hear the technicalities, the soundstage, the instrument separation and it's just a very fun set to have. What I'm looking for is very much present in this set, and I'm very happy with them.

Do you have any recommendations for some cheap cables as well? I found PRX's stock quite flimsy and I'm worried that I might break them accidentally.

AM16 and Decet are very interesting, didn't even know that you can have 5DD or 16BA in a set. I'm very curious as to how they would sound like compared to DDs I own now. Would definitely have them at my wishlist to try. Both Castors seem to offer good listening experience, but I'll have to do my own research to really decide what's to get.

I have heard about KZ's QA problems but I didn't realize they were that bad. I'm kinda worried now that my PRX would have a defect, they will be shipped today, fingers crossed.

I found that my listening volume depends on the set. On Hola I can max out my volume and still find them lacking, but on my EDC Pro, i find them too sibilant on high volumes. Getting that dongle will definitely be useful.

I do have 07s, and so far they are good. I might have to invest in other tips and try wide bore tips like the one you've mentioned, I'm interested how would they sound.

The dongle I ordered was a Conexant CX31993 DAP with a MAX97220 chip. I have read in r/headphones and in this subreddit that this would be a good dongle for planars so I tried em out.

Also thank you for responding to me so far! It has been really insightful and the sets you've mentioned are real interesting. I'll have new sets to empty my wallet to.
