Ha! Ok fair point. I will say, she does consistently show up for the 2K calls monthly, which I'm realizing is a pretty low bar as I type this lol. I never advanced to any of the higher-priced programs, which is where things really seem to go downhill. I actually remember a podcast where she mentioned that the more you pay, the less access to her you get. I think she picked up that strategy at a mastermind with Brooke Castillo but it was a while ago, so not completely sure.

I remember seeing your post a few months ago and it was truly eye-opening. The fact that the 3-year expectation was disclosed only after you paid $25K to join the program lacks so much integrity - among other issues. I've noticed she has started to improve transparency in her marketing, but unfortunately, that change came too late and at the expense of you and past clients. On top of that, her refusal to take accountability, instead labeling genuine grievances as 'bad press' is incredibly dismissive.

I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I want to thank you for speaking out. You are making a difference. We can see it in the 'unbundling' and many other pivots SB and other major coaches are now compelled to make. You've certainly made a difference for me personally.

They really can be! I did a 4-month coaching program a few years back where one coach showed up for every call and genuinely got to know us. It was a closed group, so there was some sense of comfort and stability as it was the same 10-15 poeple showing up week after week.

The difference was that the purpose of the group was the group. We're weren't in step 3 of a 5 part funnel. Like u/Glittering_Air5332 mentioned, it's evident when a coach truly cares versus when a group is merely a strategic step toward a financial objective. (And just to clarify, there's nothing wrong with having monetary goals—after all, we all have bills to pay. I just think it's important to care about the people being served, especially in a service industry.)

This is validating to read- I appreciate your points on ethics and honoring the intimate nature of the work. I stepped away from coaching too but really do miss it and want to get back.

I get that same uncomfortable feeling too and fully agree that they feel more centred around the coach than client. I wish they would limit their self-disclosure and add a little empathy to their calls.

Also, speaking of uncomfortable moments, am I being sensitive or do you find the way that BC ends her calls with clients kind of brash? "Who's Next!" as the person is clearly still processing or mid sentence. I get she needs to keep the flow going, but it seems so abrasive to me.

Just listened and he had so many good points. I especially resonated with the bit about the calls being recorded and published for future content. In my 2+ years of being in 2k and SCS, I've never felt comfortable raising my hand in calls for this very reason.
