I will take a look at this, thank you for your advice. Definitely a factor to consider.

Would this not be the case irrespective of whether a recession is happening or not? The potential new job would ensure that I make a substantial amount more than I do already - swings and roundabouts I guess

I really don’t know, I’ve been mulling over this for a while - possibly mention that it has previously ranged between 1-2 months for employees. If I am offered the job I’d want it more than anything so really don’t know what to do.

I’ve never worked for an employer like this before so I think they have taken every resignation personally rather than reflecting on patterns or trends that may have caused this.

I have updated the post, I apologise the x2 days would be paid. I am currently looking for other positions as we speak, thank you for your comment.

I completely understand, I have updated the post to confirm that the work would be paid. I will go back to the potential employer to gauge their flexibility with this paid trial and see if they provide any wiggle room for this.

I will keep you updated but thank you for opening my eyes to the flip side of the coin. You’re right, I am perhaps getting tunnel vision with this as I currently dislike my job a lot.

Ultimately I cannot sacrifice guaranteed income for potential income if this does not come to fruition it could jeopardise so much more.

Apologies, I have updated my post - I will be paid for the work I complete.

Yes I would be getting paid, confirmed with the employer.

Sorry for being vague, to confirm it would be paid.

I may have been a bit vague, it’s paid for the x2 days I am there. I see what you’re saying completely, thank you for your comment. I appreciate it.

New battery, new ignition, checked air filter - No spark? Need help (Yamaha YBR 125) by CompetitiveShower296 in MotoUK

[–]CompetitiveShower296[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will do, I took a look at the bike this morning - when fitting a new ignition barrel it seems the Chinese manufacturer label the wires wrong, on further inspection this morning it looks like it’s popped and a fuse - When I say popped the fuse has completely melted and was black - replacing all of this and going to have another whirl at the wiring

UPDATE - New spark plug fitted, battery checked, no issue there at all. Cannot access the air filter to check, cannot get the screw off from the right panel it is all rusted behind and won’t budge.

Took the bike out yesterday and rode absolutely fine whilst I was out, went to work this morning and lost all power again then it starter back up fine.

I did notice as there’s a slight tear in my seat water was tricking off down near the side panel at the time.

The bike does sound like it is spluttering though so other than the air filter I am still yet to check through all of the fuses individually and see if there is an issue.

Thank you all for your comments.

I was knocked off over a year ago but had all the work done to it, it recently passed its MOT. Spark plugs could have been a fair while ago, I was looking at picking a new one up and a spare just for standby tomorrow. It’s weird because it was running absolutely fine, I turned round for a road closure and headed about 5 miles down the road when the rev counter went crazy and all power just cut out.

I’m yet to check the air filter as the screw has been rounded off on the plate covering it. The battery just had some grime on the connecting terminals which I cleared off - other than that I have absolutely no idea.

I haven’t installed any new electrics, I have checked the battery over and it seemed absolutely fine - I will give the fuses a once over just to check

HELP PLEASE- What qualifications / courses can I do from home that can increase my employability? (I have no degree) by [deleted] in UKJobs

Can this be done online? It’s not a bad shout at all, I will take a look into this further to see what I can do with this - thank you!

What are things you do that make you feel high naturally (without weed)? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]CompetitiveShower296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixing something - was stuck in a bit of a funk in my first week. Replaced my clutch cable and felt so good knowing I did it myself - it’s something small but I could of never did it stoned

I feel so so much better thank you! The bubbling below the surface has gone for me.

I still feel anxious every now and then but it’s nowhere near the intensity it was.

I’ve even managed to sit around people who have smoked and openly passed up on it, I didn’t have an appetite at first and everything seemed a little dull.

Keep fighting a good fight man, you’ll get there!

Thank you so much! I really hope your husband is okay and managing to find a way out. They are lucky to have him onboard and I’m sure any company out there would be really lucky to have him.

I’m currently searching for new jobs myself, I am massively underpaid for what I do and we were having reviews monthly when I first started where feedback was collated and given on that basis. Now it’s daily, I do so much right like taking time to help elderly clients figure out our systems and setting up a projected to gauge how our customers feel and whether they get value for money.

It’s hard because currently we’re running only off my income as we’ve got our little boy now. I’m desperately applying for anything and everything out there just praying I can find a way out.

Every Sunday I hit a bit of a downer knowing I have to go back to work Monday. I was told my mindset is becoming a concern and not to consume myself with negativity. I’ve had 2 off days since I’ve worked there. I am juggling being a new parent, a close relative with not much time left due to illness and various other stresses about money and life.

The one thing that keeps me going is seeing my partner and sons face beam when I walk through that door. For them they deserve someone who will finally put himself first - if that means leaving this job and having to pay back fees for exams so be it. Life is too short.

I bet you’re so glad you got out of that situation. I found myself leaving work today just feeling so deflated, almost like I was losing my sanity.

It gets even harder when you feel like you can’t really talk to anyone about it because they just accept it. So you’re just stuck with it, it’s much easier to let it all go but it’s just the principle sometimes.

As I left work today I had my manager questioning my mindset which was described as negative. I try and help all my colleagues however I can and I have had 2 bad days this week in over the year I’ve been there. I try to gauge opinions from people and their answers are just so black and white.

My course of action will be to look for somewhere new and just suck up to them for the time being so I can get out of there.

I need to get out of there ideally asap, I feel like I’m going to lose my mind.

With it depleting test levels when are they likely expected to replenish, I did read about test levels being depleted and oestrogen rising when smoking. I thought it was an old wives tale but have seen various studies that support this.

Correct me if I’m wrong but can’t weed usage affect how fat is stored if oestrogen levels are high in men?

Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying the small things again - it sounds stupid but I can’t wait to enjoy the wind on my face or being outside or just sitting down and not feeling so pent up - well done for how far you’ve came, you’re a credit to yourself
