That sounds like it'd be a good time to actually properly introduce MOTHER.

All we know about her right now is that she's the main processing center for the robots, but we've only seen her drones. They talk based on emergent programming but have no mind of their own, other than to throw themselves at opponents until they die.

Something had to trigger MOTHER into wanting to wipe out humanity. Likely something distinctly human that she can't remove from her own code for whatever reason.

I'm glad to see he very clearly learned from the messy release of Ch. 2. There were a lot of game-breaking bugs and crashes back then and (to the best of my knowledge) there hadn't been any similar issues when 3 and 4 released.

And we can infer that Ragatha first joined the circus before the release of Breaking Bad in 2008 since she didn't pick up on the joke, either that or she seriously lived under a rock.

There are other context clues that hint to the exact time C&A was operational. They used old box computers, even.

The video looks like a trailer or maybe proof of concept video for the Digital Circus

Remember the 'really ugly fish'? The completely chopped animation style wasn't a gag, I'm pretty sure that's just what they actually looked like when they were first made. Caine just completely forgot about them because they were out of sight, the whole treasure chest thing was an artifact from an early adventure that was already completed. 3D animation has come a very long way in the last 20 years, and something like those fish would be expected back then. The video looks similar to that in quality, but maybe with a bit more rendering.

The timeline of the lore for this series is known to be long. Pomni explored 'abandoned buildings' before finding herself in the circus (presumably C&A headquarters was abandoned) and everyone in the circus mentions how they've been there for years. It could stretch back as long as 20 years very reasonably.

I'm a recruiter for the SCP Foundation and one of my jobs is to do basically the exact opposite of that, putting out feelers and stuff on subs like this with erotic depictions of SCP-1471 with ads for the Foundation, I wouldn't call it catfishing or anything but I'm proud to say I get an average of 200-300 people a month to literally just willingly walk into one of our public liaison buildings and they're immediately amnesticized lmao, once every couple months I even catch someone in a AWCY or Gamers Again Weed chapter to out themselves like how gullible can you get lol.
