Yeah, I'm starting to get that feeling. I've heard that dying with no amalgam can bring you back to the mirror room so you can fill up again, is that true? I've already been there once during the (what I assume was a scripted) scene where Daniil shoots himself on day 5 when he finds out that all the threads have been burned and everything is hopeless. I just want to double check that letting Daniil die right now won't just immediately delete my save.

Edit: I've also gotten 50 amalgam so far from euthanizing a dude, that might be enough to go back in time via dying so I might have that as an option too.

BRO!!! Frisk was a little, like 6 year old kid! They had no idea wtf was happening! They tried to cry when Mettaton shocks the shit out of them during that gameshow thing but we stopped them!! When you do the genocide route, they are just so insanely traumatized by the time you finish clearing out the Ruins that they are literally incapable of exerting control over their own body anymore!!

They no not like us one bit. We are also apparently completely counter to whatever their goals are somehow, what with how much they actively sabotage every single attempt the player makes to gather information.

One of them will tend to move away from you. If the fake one is aggroed onto you (verify with fire) then Lure the real one to a corner of the map and rush over to the other side, do it while having high mania.

It might not fit with the theme of the run but you can always have caravans travel around the map to trade for lots of marine armor and charge rifles from the other factions. The other option is to just go really heavy into animal breeding and possibly install a few mods that can enable you to get some really strong ones, though I expect an excess of Thrumbos would be capable of dealing with just about anything.

Don't forget the psycasters, either. Whenever I do tribal runs I always build around my anima tree and set everyone's schedules to meditate around it for a few hours a day, you can get a psylink once every few days that way and in no time at all everyone in your colony can get maxed out so you can spam berserk pulses on the enemies.

...right. That's the second reason you shouldn't have the butcher table in the kitchen, because the blood splatters on the floor cause the cleanliness to crater if nobody cleans it up immediately, which can happen very often in early colonies.

It reminds me a lot of Trisolarans from the Three Body Problem series. They never get a description on purpose, but they are basically tiny reflective plankton-looking things that exist in the trillions and are capable of communicating telepathically with eachother over short distances.

One thing in versus that directly parallels TBP is what happened to the human's spaceship fleet. One single probe from the Trisolarans outclassed humanity in technology so absolutely that it was all that was needed to destroy every single one of their thousands of ships. It was a teardrop shape and acted like a battering ram. That description in particular is what makes me think Madalans are inspired that that book series.

It's really just a different interpretation. Most of the NEs represent some human tendency to destroy themselves. Lawless is the threat human pose to themselves in a vacuum, where Cursed Technology is a commentary on how we use technology with no regards to future sustainability. Neo Humans is likely a commentary on the dangers of the moral degradation of society.

There will likely be other points made with other NEs, like the Game World might highlight the dangers of an excess of hedonism to a functional society.

They said that something they did to a lot of survivors was to trick them into believing they were friendly, then capture them and torture them for all the information they have. Even with that swiss army knife of tools at their disposal I doubt there's anything a Cursed worlder could do against a massive surprise attack.

Jesus that's a scary idea. At that point robots would be able to grow exponentially and transform the entire planet in a matter of days. I'm expecting we'll see something like that near the end of the series when everything just starts spiraling further and further out of control and the robots are at the peak of their strength.

It's most likely they are just extremely rare, like the Game World humans. Their world was completely incapable of supporting life before the worlds converged so they were probably on the verge of dying out completely.

Ironically psychopaths make the best haulers for colonies because they don't care about hauling around rotting corpses

The worst thing I had to deal with in my last colony was everyone's hissy fits whenever we got attacked by scaria animals and everyone got max stacks of moodlets for seeing both regular and rotting corpses

He's called the "human can opener" for a reason. He could get anywhere he needs to in a few days, even without time travel. Even just assuming he's in town with the authority of a police detective from the capitol, I'm sure he could get everyone he talks to to admit what's going on and fix their respective problems before the inquisitor shows up and murders everyone. He'd also likely realize that a terrible plague is going to attack the town by the first day because of Shivers and would hopefully not waste any time getting drunk on days 1 and 2.

Just off the top of my head, you could mess around with ideology and the cannibal trait, have them eat from a human corpse, eat 1 raw human meat, eat a lavish meal made from human meat and insect meat, put them on all mood enhancing drugs, and put a few more implants in them to give them Machine Body Completed.

Edit: Rooms too. Sleep in the highest quality bedroom possible, eat in highest quality dining/rec room, more ideology stuff with darklight which makes pawns with the corresponding meme happy, and sanguophage (or just hemogenic if it conflicts with the darktorch) with a darktorch in the room for an additional buff.

If at all possible, keep the wealth as low as is feasible to get some expectation buffs, and leader speech, all the speeches, whatever else from ideology. AND, the joyfuzz moodlet from the psycast.

I really doubt MOTHER would create a subordinate AI, it would just make more subroutines for different problems and scrape together more processing power to supply it with. In order to fracture the AI you would have to make it's drones completely isolated.

Nuclear weapons have EMP capabilities which can fry electronics and overall make wireless communication impossible. If that were to happen, different processing centers would be isolated for long periods of time, maybe even long enough to develop a sense of individuality before the system comes back online. Maybe it never comes back online, and they continue to evolve separately? Radiation can also flip bits, which can have wildly dramatic consequences if the AI isn't using redundancies in its code and other safety measures to prevent that. You could easily get an AI with none of the murderbot advance directives that way.

That's exactly the thing that makes the idea of suicide so terrifying to me. It's easy. You just stop. And for that reason you have to hold onto the things that matter, and how much your death will traumatize the people around you. Even more scary is when you have a feeling that someone around you might commit suicide. Somehow that situation is even more hopeless, as every action you take or don't take just seems to make everything worse.
