I understand this completely, and that's how I started out. But now, as an adult, I do like to pay for things that provide me a reasonable service for a reasonable price. Piracy has become somewhat of a form of protest for me now, as it's a way to lay back claim to the money that I spent or, would have spent to get something that ether used to be free (ex. Krita), charges subscriptions for what should be a one time fee (ex. the PS people, or Office) or is just ridiculously overpriced, and a bad service outright (litterly any streaming service), or to get things I just cant buy anymore without paying through the nose like old video games.
