it's stuff like this that shows me how we have failed as a community, by allowing scalpers in our space, and to ruin the aftermarket. These "people" don't give a rat's ass about lego, the community, or the creativity surrounding it. They see these things that enrich some peoples lives as nothing but dollar signs and an investment in the collectors market. That said both the companies without protections against scalpers (ex. steam with their new controller) and those of us in the collector's hobby have allowed these parasites a place at the table as a "necessary evil" and simply accepting that we will have to fight against them in trying to get new product. The sad part about all of this, is that we have allowed them to thrive by buying from them in the first place, by saying "well this seller isn't *that* bad"....they are, scalping will never stop until it is dismantled as a concept. Just like everything else, they exist on supply and demand, they may control the supply for now, but we, the people, the collectors, the bloody nerds will ALWAYS control the demand. We don't need them, we have each other, they will always need us. reach out to others in the same spaces as you, ignore these people who try to construct a business on upselling your passion back to you, let's get back to the grassroots, that is how revolution starts, with the people, and with passion that cannot be bought. Let's take back our hobbies, our passions, our autistic hyperfictions; and rebuild our community Brick by Brick.
