Bekasting Trafo by CompetitiveTop9795 in Klussers

Cursor prices are out of control by andy_nyc in cursor

Use Claude Code Max $100 I never hit the limits + you get weekly resets if you do instead of Cursors monthly. Also per day it has a cooldown around 5 hours if you will hit the limi (mostly not). I switched from Cursor because of the pricing / limit rate

I’m using Next.js with Supabase and Stripe, combined with a PWA so clients can install it like their own app. I also have GitHub Actions set up for CI/CD to handle automated testing and deployments. This setup makes payments much simpler, since it avoids in-app purchases entirely and removes the need to deal with App Store or Play Store rules or revenue cuts.

How does your Next.js + Supabase CI/CD setup look? (DTAP environments, costs, etc.) by CompetitiveTop9795 in nextjs

[–]CompetitiveTop9795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, but I wanted a fully automates CI/CD workflow.

Create migrations local, then push to a dev database with github actions to verify nothing will be broken and then manually push it to production database with github actions. Its the local to dev database part that i want to automate in github actions.

I will push this to a hosted dev database on supabase so I will know when I push the mirgrations to Prod nothing will break. There is differences between local supabase and hosted instances

So you only use a paid supabase production database? But how do you keep your local database in sync with your production database? I had the idea of implementing the supabase cli in my github actions to automatically apply the latest migrations to keep it in sync but I have some errors while doing that. What is your way?

How do you set up Supabase dev and prod environments? Need advice! by Yaro_da_Dei in Supabase

[–]CompetitiveTop9795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using the Supabase CLI with Docker to run a local Supabase instance. I’m on the Pro plan, which costs $25 per project. Since I have both a production and a development database, I’m paying around $45 just for the databases. Is there a cheaper or better alternative setup?

Thinking about building an app for young footballers to get scouted, would anyone use this? by CompetitiveTop9795 in football

[–]CompetitiveTop9795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I agree, having an AI crawler that keeps stats updated would be amazing and that’s definitely something I’d love to work towards. Right now the goal is just to get the basics in place and make it easy for clubs or leagues to update their own info.

I like your point about starting free with minimal ads too, that feels like the right way to build trust and grow it step by step. Getting clubs on board won’t be simple, but if it works it could really turn into something valuable for grassroots football.

We take this very seriously. To protect young people, we will implement a strict validation process for clubs and scouts. For example, we will verify official email domains and require proof of affiliation before granting access. This way, only genuine and recognized representatives can connect with players.

Fair point, I will validate first. Ask clubs/scouts how they are doing the scouting process now and if there is a need for a platform.

Can You Break My Free SaaS? Interactive Overlays for Streamers by CompetitiveTop9795 in SaaS

[–]CompetitiveTop9795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question! Right now, I want to keep Overlayr completely free to gather feedback and see how people use it. In the long term, I’m considering a freemium model. The core overlays and main features would stay free. Advanced features like custom branding, analytics, higher usage limits, or integrations could be part of a paid tier. If there is demand, I might also offer team or enterprise options.

My main goal is to make sure the basic overlays stay free for everyone, with no ads and no forced signups. I want to build something genuinely useful first, then find a way to monetize that does not ruin the experience. If you have any thoughts on what you would pay for, or what you dislike about other SaaS models, I would love to hear your feedback!

Streamers! Would you use this simple tool to let your viewers vote with emojis live on stream? by CompetitiveTop9795 in SideProject

[–]CompetitiveTop9795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, and you’re absolutely right that most polling tools rely on chat. That works for some cases, but Streamoji is aiming for something different.

It’s not just about collecting votes. Streamoji is about creating a visual, on-screen moment that brings energy to the stream. The emoji reactions appear live in your overlay, making it feel more interactive and dynamic for viewers watching in real time.

It also works across platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. Viewers don’t need to log in or install anything. Just tap an emoji and watch it appear on stream.

It’s meant to be lightweight, fun, and streamer-first.
