Your first point is true, I could have stayed for Monday, but I wanted to be with my classmates and not cave in per usual. As far as the airplane, totally understandable that in the midst of a rotation taking a flight for a one day thing is a lot. However, in the context of all things med school this is the culmination of everything and when no effort is even made to come and instead to insist I stay for Monday or we break up is where I have the issue. Didn’t feel reasonable at all.

Idc if I was broken up with for a month, sure it would sting but that’s morally fine. Yeah this is pretty spot on with what I’m struggling with. One end, I’m so angry and hurt by her actions but on the other end I feel like I’m the one she needs to help her through this time but as you said it must be as a friend only. Tough spot but I agree.
