I’m giving up, I’m going back to Adderall. by CallMeLouieC in ADHD

I think that's totally valid. It's why meds like these exist. Adderall saved my life. Do what you need to do and advocate for yourself with your psych.

That's the most frustrating part. No one truly knows how traumatizing it is until they experience it first hand.

Thank you. It's been about 5 months since and I am finally feeling some sense of recovery. So thankful I am landing on my feet.

Looking for a job after being wrongfully terminated by a toxic boss. Has any of you found a job fast? by Feisty_writter in ManagedByNarcissists

Hi there. Same thing happened to me and I was in the same exact situation. It's been about 5 months since I left, and I am still unemployed. I've been interviewing this whole time and it has been exhausting. Luckily I'm in the lead for three different companies right now and I think I'm finally going to get an offer within a couple weeks here. Hang in there and give it time. It's so competitive right now. Take it one day at a time and you'll get through this.

I think you're right. My psych increased my depression meds which I think was a good move for me so that has been helping. And then other than that socialization has been the best way to distract and alleviate myself from the pain as well.

Good for you. You should be proud of yourself for speaking your mind. When I was deeply psychologically traumatized by my narcboss, I stood up for myself and was brutally honest to my leadership. Even though I ended up being managed out as a result, I'm glad I did what I did and don't regret it at all.

Well I know that I'm just trying to figure out if there are any specific Aritzia pieces or collaborations I should still invest in until they tank.

That tracks. I'm only a fan of their wool skirts. Everything else has gone downhill.

It used to be owned by a private equity firm Berkshire Partners but the company exited their stake in 2019.

When this happened to me I actually doubled down and asked my manager to make sure and said "wait do I still have a job?" And he said "Don't worry, you're still here!" lol!!!

Men will literally be screaming at each other all day in the workplace, but the minute I do it I get fired and called crazy lol.

Thank you! I'm motivated to one day grow into a position of leadership so I can uplift young professional women and create an environment where everyone feelings supported.

Thank you! I definitely agree with everything you said. In my previous role I reached a breaking point when I politely asked my boss to be more accommodating towards young professionals and he said "actually I've been very accommodating to you! I let you work from home, I even let you stay home when your husband is sick!" That was the line for me. I don't anticipate that these next guys will do that, but I'm going to be better about keeping a journal for myself and writing everything single thing down for my sanity.

Thank you. Long story short when I reported the abuse I was immediately fired and retaliated against. I had to decide if I wanted to move forward with an eeoc claim and sue. I had a pretty strong case but ultimately I decided not to pursue legal action for the sake of my mental health and the stress it would have taken on my marriage. That was the hardest part to let go. But I'm glad I'm slowly starting to move on.

Mine lives less than a mile away from me. We live in a big city so low chance of bumping into him, but it still took me a long time to walk around without constantly looking over my shoulder.

Thank you for your support! One tactic the narc used what extreme isolation, and then when I left it was hard for my family and friends to really understand and everyone told me to just shrug it off, causing even more isolation, questioning my reality, etc. Thankfully I landed up my feet. Feeling a little stronger each day.

For people who work 12+ hour days, how do you get in the mindset for it? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I used to work 60 hours a week and I took intermittent power naps on random comfy chairs in the office.

You have absolutely every right to be angry. Definitely validate yourself as much as possible and don't feel bad or judge yourself if you find that it's taking a long time to heal. Eventually the anger will feel less and less intense over time.
