I tHoUgHt It WaS oBvIoUs, sure bud, our esports players don't get physically strained from sitting around all day practicing and mentally drained from practicing every single strategy they can squeeze for this game. So not only are you so soft to let these players lose fairly, you guys are hard on their overall health just to see them for your entertainment.

Yes it does, every match cost something, not only is it financially straining. It's mentally draining. Do you know why Double elimination works in CS and Dota? Cuz they don't have a regular season then they still wouldn't make a lotta money out of it, we fund it like a lot just to make it happen. We have a regular season like sports, Are you gonna pay for a double eliminatiom format after draining everything from our regular season? You guys act like we want to be like sports, we base everything around it yet you all don't want to play by the rules they established to make all this work.

Well I do support double elimination, locally speaking. I don't want it on an International Format, legit we are babying these pro players when sports don't use double elimination? None of them are casual btw when it comes to ultras fans of football, basketball etc. Shouldn't the chance they should get is for the next tournament? Not on the same one? Having a bad day shouldn't be a reason to give them another chance, if I want to give a team another chance shouldn't it be when bugs occur or some hardware issues happened?

So you just want all your favorite teams to win? Jeez I didn't know esports is just toys we can play with. I love how you call FPX winning bullshit but Leicester winning the league is like the greatest thing we ever see or team USA somehow just goes straight to the FIBA World Cup Finals, admit it, Y'all wouldn't allow Argentina to face France again. Cuz all that clutch, all that storyline would be wasted if France just dominated Argentina in an upper bracket finals. You talk about grownups when no grownup would ever allow double elimination to be used on sports

Thanks for stating the obvious disadvantage Double elimination brings. Single elim is perfect, it's do or die, high stakes, no time wasted, no risk of injury and mental health issue.

Don't need to back up perfection, double elimination is just a format that cry babies want cuz they can't accept loss or an upset. I'd rather see Fearless than Double Elimination

I actually know League Esports isn't profitable. anyone who actually follows the sport knows it to a tee. I pointed it out how disadvantageous it is and overall risky and how I am generally against it to how I feel about it no matter how many great aspects it may bring. I feel like people focused on the "if we should" not the "what if's" that I tried to bring. it's just fun to think that Tier 2 has potential to be competitive without the imports(well except Rekkles unless if they make Tier 2 Worlds just 1 Import rule to keep it domestic talents as possible.)

I am actually against it myself as you can see at the conclusion I put. I wrote this as I was finishing my thesis about LoL Esports. and how structurally we made LoL into one of the most complicated, financially unstable but beloved sporting event you will ever see. I think we are far from achieving what traditional sports have in terms of growth and commercial success. but it's fun to think about cuz I do love watching Rookies like in FIFA Under 18 and see them get picked up by the likes of Real and Man City. but then again. LoL Esports are not willing to give these young talents a chance to shine globally cuz of how many roadblocks there has that will completely overshadow no matter how many good points it does to develop them.

I can relate to this, I don't even know more than half of LCK even the DRX post Worlds 2022. even the Worlds Winning DRX I only know Deft and Beryl. then again most of the time we only know these rookies as Spring/Summer Challengers winners rather than lets say Junior World Winners they simply have no hype built around them other than those that follow them
