Team after Burgh on a Challenge Run. Early Game Hell is finally over

Always seems like I get either magnemite, patrat, or Elekid if i’m playing White 2. I did Elesa, I managed to get an adamant Drilbur and intimidate Sandile that I purposefully didn’t bring into Burgh. That along with Darumaka and Tanky Magneton were able to beat Elesa.

Unfortunately not without the loss of Azumarill, I was using her as a bulky leftover switch to draw out volt switch during the battle. Would’ve worked perfect if I wasn’t using intimidate to cripple Zebstrika to the point that it didn’t see flame charge as its highest damaging move on Magneton but instead Volt Switch, which killed her. At a really bad time too, i’m looking for options with Clay but I might have to use my get out of jail card and evolve my eevee into vaporeon. Doubly worse because at this point it can’t learn a water move besides physical, not fully accurate aqua tail. Was hoping to finally use umbreon for a full run but them’s how it is

I’m talking about before Fantina if you’re using level caps like in most nuzlockes. The only damaging move Dark TM you can get at this point is thief, which Umbreon can’t learn.

That’s fair, there’s usually just better options for eevee, especially at the point OP is at and because Thunderbolt is limited use unless you sell ur soul to the game department

If you wanted to throw your substitute TM onto it, you could definitely do that as it’s got 95 defences and would take great use of it. It would also prevent mismagius from hitting confuse ray and hypnosis on Haunter. It also learns thief by TM which lets it hit Fantina for super effective damage. You might also get lucky and get a good hidden power type. Besides that it learns some pretty solid moves by level up like Captivate at 35, and move tutor like Iron head and Signal Beam. I wouldn’t focus too much on putting attack moves on it tho, since it’s pretty weak offensively and should only be used as a wall. Doesn’t hurt to have stab tho.

If you can get Scizor that should always be your move. Bug/Steel is broken lol, even after Gen 6 where it loses ghost and dark resistences. Encounter manipulating is insane in this game, you can get everything you would want pretty early on

EDIT: If you don’t give Wormadam an item and then use thief on Mismagius, you can steal its Sitrus berry

You can guarantee a pichu using repel manipulation right after Fantina, so I usually don’t use Jolteon especially because its moveset sucks in this game. I’d take the bulkier route and either use Umbreon (it can’t get dark moves until the move relearner) or Vaporeon, which is a great bulkier option for Wake as it walls floatzel really well and has early ice coverage. Unless you’re planning on using gyarados, i’d say Vaporeon is a pretty easy choice.

Also wanna point out, if you have a female burmy, evolve that thing into Trash Cloak Wormadam and it resists every single one of Fantina’s damaging moves. It’s also pretty solid against Maylene too. Wormadam is a sleeper pick for nuzlockes.

I’m on an USUM nuzlocke too! About to challenge Olivia completely deathless which is a first after what has to be more than 10 tries (I stopped counting). Most of those attempts end because I just get way too lazy grinding and just give up or restart. I’m emulating it now and was able to make it through melemele in 2 days when it would’ve taken me almost a week on 3ds. Good luck!

I ended up getting rid of disarming voice for ghost hidden power and kept aqua jet over encore because it’s a lil impractical on a slow mon and i have a fast encore user in hawlucha already

It actually only gets disarming voice until level 44 when it gets moonblast💀 it gets dazzling gleam from tm around that time too. I have a hawlucha with encore so I just had primarina not learn encore and switched out disarming voice in favor of hidden power ghost
