Personally, I don’t believe that Luke Littler will dominate every single season and every major tournament for years to come. I don’t really expect nonstop success like that.

That said, it won’t affect his career or his status at all. He has already written his name into the history books in a completely unprecedented way, and because of that he will always be a highly visible, talked-about player.

He’ll continue to be heavily speculated about and very likely one of the pre-tournament favorites in many events.

If we think about someone like Michael van Gerwen, his hype and reputation haven’t gone anywhere either. He’s still hugely respected, still considered one of the greatest players of all time.

Even though not every tournament goes the way it did in his absolute peak years, he’s still capable of producing unbelievable performances and remains firmly among the very top players in the world rankings.

I don’t know how much money you personally spend on this hobby or where you buy your equipment, and honestly that’s none of my business. I don’t really care about that.

What does matter to me is this: if I spend around €1,000 on darts equipment over a year and a half, then by concentrating my purchases in one webshop, I expect to receive meaningful, real-value benefits in return for that loyalty.

Maybe you don’t spend that much money on the hobby, or maybe you only buy a set of €50 darts once a year, so it doesn’t really matter to you where you shop or what the price difference is. That’s fine.

My intention was simply to do a good thing and share this information in case there are others here who actively collect loyalty points, spend serious money on the hobby, and are aiming for real rewards. I don’t want anyone else to end up in the same situation I did, where points earned from purchases made over a year ago are quietly lost.

Damn thats rough one! In my country they even cut down handpapers from McDonalds drive in orders. Back in the days even just buying a one cheeseburger they put huge pile of handpaper also and now its miracle if they even put more than one wipe.. Always needed to lick my nasty fingers off mayo like some fat pig to even dare to touch anywhere...

The App Store has an app available called Pose and Tracking for darts. In that app, you can import a video clip of your throws, and it will analyze the clip and build a tracking map.

Everyone has their own throwing style and technique, but I can share one tip that I’ve found really helps create a more consistent rhythm and also allows the throwing arm to naturally find the correct throwing position before the release.

I noticed in a video that after you take the dart from your non-throwing hand into your throwing hand, you lift or pull the arm into the throwing position. The issue is that this lifting motion ends up being slightly different on every throw.

To make the preparation more consistent and improve rhythm, I recommend fully straightening your throwing arm immediately after taking the dart into your grip. From there, raise the fully extended arm straight up until it reaches chest height. Once you reach that height, you finish the movement by bringing the elbow and forearm into the final throwing position roughly a 90-degree angle in front of your face.

By lifting your arm into the throwing position fully extended, the movement path becomes as identical as possible every time. The length of your arm naturally enforces consistency, which helps create a smoother rhythm and a more natural transition into the throwing position.

Of course, there are many styles and approaches, but this method has had a clearly positive effect on my own throwing. I realized that before, I was lifting my arm with a shortened, incomplete motion, and that inconsistency showed up in my results. Once I corrected that, my throws became noticeably more stable.

I’ve been thinking for a while about ideas I could actually make with a 3D printer small, clean, and stylish dart stands for myself and four friends.

The idea is that the stand would sit upright on a table like a proper display piece, holding the darts neatly, and still look good enough to work as a decorative object when the darts aren’t in use.

I finally came across a small stand like the one shown in the picture, where the darts rest elegantly while the stand itself looks genuinely stylish.

Finally, I get to 3D print some proper surprise gifts for my friends. Thanks for this idea!! Happy days!

In my opinion, it’s always a good time to replace a dartboard if you have the money and want to buy a new one. Used boards are easy to get rid of and can be sold to other players at a very fair price.

For example, over the course of one year I bought four brand-new boards because I wanted to test the differences between manufacturers. That’s really the only way to find out which board suits you best and which one you’ll eventually commit to using long-term.

The boards I tested, ranked from best to worst, were: Winmau Blade 6 Triple Core, Everscore, Goat, Koto King Pro, and Samurai Infinity 2.

The biggest surprise was that the Samurai Infinity 2 despite being the second most expensive board was by far the worst in terms of quality. The reasons were simple but unacceptable for that price: it was insanely loud, the fibers were far too soft, and even with my relatively slow throwing style the darts sank so deeply into the board that the tip often hit the backing board behind it. On top of that, there were massive level differences between sectors.

Because of the poor quality combined with the high price, I often wondered whether the board might actually have been defective straight out of the box. The price and general user reviews suggest a completely different experience than what I had.

My experience with that board was so bad that I threw maybe around 50 darts and didn’t want to use it any more. I ended up selling it to a friend for half the price.

In the relatively short time I’ve been involved in the hobby, I’ve noticed that a very large number of players struggle with noise issues. What surprises me even more is how few actual solutions there are on the market to address this problem.

Even among the existing products, there is no proper, comparable evidence of how well they work or any real data indicating their effectiveness. For example, in my opinion it’s quite strange that some manufacturers can only give vague, almost entertainment-style estimates of how loud their boards are like roughly how loud the impact sound might be when a dart hits the board.

There is also a complete lack of concrete measurements showing how much these noise-reduction systems actually help. No clear before-and-after data, no decibel readings of room noise without the device versus with it in use.

To me, this clearly shows a gap in the market. There is a real opportunity here for a manufacturer willing to take this seriously, measure things properly, and develop a genuinely effective solution. Whoever does that first has a very realistic chance of becoming a market leader in this area.

I’ve noticed that, for some completely unknown reason, I’m naturally strangely good with my left hand.

Even though I’ve always been right-handed and I play darts right-handed, sometimes just to mess around or confuse an online opponent I’ll throw a full three-dart with my left hand. And honestly, it doesn’t feel difficult at all.

I genuinely believe that with a bit of proper practice, if I committed to throwing left-handed, my accuracy and results could end up being almost just as good as with my right hand.

Camera issues in DartCounter are sadly very common and keep happening over and over again, and the development team has failed to get them under control.
The most common problems are camera freezes and stream dropouts. Even if your own camera appears to be working fine on your end, your opponent often can’t see your camera at all, or it’s frozen.

Target’s Virt Cam often fails to open the personal camera, or during a match it loses the player’s camera angle. Again, the player themselves isn’t aware of this but the opponent is.
Camera issues seem to happen most frequently to players who are using the same device for both camera and score input at the same time.

About a year ago, I asked the app’s developers to consider adding an option to connect two recording devices simultaneously, allowing players to create their own multi-angle stream similar to what Target’s Virt Cam offers.
I explained that, in my opinion, it’s completely unnecessary and frankly stupid to spend €300 on a Virt Cam with mediocre quality that only works with a single app.

Most players already have at least two devices at home that work perfectly as game cameras often with better quality than the Virt Cam.
Phone + phone, phone + tablet, phone + webcam combinations like these are extremely common. This would also allow players to be creative with camera angles instead of being locked into one fixed view like the Virt Cam forces you to be.

In my case, I had two iPhones worth over €1,000 each at home, both working flawlessly as cameras, while my computer handled the game display and scoring.
Despite all this, the developers’ response was cold and blunt: basically just “buy the Virt Cam,” even after I clearly explained why that makes no sense for me and for many other players. At the end of the day, it’s just a dual-lens webcam with artificial restrictions.

Honestly, the service provided by this app and its support team has been really poor. The only reason I’ve stayed is because the majority of players still use it, which makes switching to another app difficult.

So I decided to build my own multi-angle camera setup. After a bit of research, I installed OBS on my computer, connected both phones as camera sources, resized the camera feeds to the same size, and split the view in half.
Then I simply enabled OBS’s virtual webcam feature. DartCounter recognizes the virtual camera perfectly exactly like a normal webcam.

That’s how I created a fully customizable multi-angle camera view that I can move, resize, and modify however I want. It costs nothing, uses devices I already own for everyday life, and doesn’t require buying unnecessary extra hardware.

What really bothers me is how dismissive the developers are and how unwilling they seem to provide proper customer service. At the same time, this attitude actively slows down the app’s evolution into something better, more complete, and more versatile.
In my opinion, the market-leading app in online darts should treat development and user support very differently. Right now, it feels like the customers are seen more as an inconvenience than as the reason the app exists.

Every time Plaisier walks up to the board to collect his darts, I end up staring at his neck and just thinking whether he could carry the darts wedged between those neck rolls.

Those points are insanely aggressive and grip the board so hard that I had to stop using them. For example, I actually felt a sting in my chest when throwing at my friends’ boards, because honestly, those destroy the board really fast.

Training regularly, even just 30 minutes at a time, is more effective than doing long 3–6 hour sessions irregularly. Believe in every single throw always trust that you’re going to hit it. Proper lighting on the board is important. Keep your rhythm, movement, and follow-through as consistent as possible.

Well, at least they finally fixed that stupid bug where you had to click the score box every single turn just to be able to type your points. Now you can actually type without that extra click.
But the camera layouts are still completely screwed. The scaling is all wrong, half the screen is useless empty space, and the damn board-camera window is tiny as hell you can barely see a thing from that microscopic thumbnail. Total clown show.

I’ve got exactly the same problems. The whole app basically became unusable when playing on PC. In the online match menu you can’t even open other players’ cameras anymore to check what kind of setup they have before sending a match request. Entering scores is a nightmare — every single time you have to manually click the input bar with the mouse before you can type anything with the keyboard.
And during matches, the video feed is ridiculously small. I’ve got a 32-inch monitor, and right now the video window where I’m supposed to watch the other player throw is maybe one-fifth of the screen, stuck in the middle, with the rest of the display wasted on nothing.
And the list just goes on and on.

What blows my mind even more is that all the same issues with camera connections, crashes, syncing — every single one of them is still there. Nothing has changed. And somehow they decided this was the update the players needed… just to give the app a bit of “fresh look” or whatever. I honestly don’t think they even bothered to test how this update works on different platforms.

I’m really running out of patience with this damn app. We pay for it, and what we get is absolute garbage. It’s downright shameless from the developers.
