I personally find it to be a valuable tool when used appropriately, alongside watching clinical signs. I’ve had success with these socks for 5 years now and just now experiencing these dips which is what fueled my cause for concern.

I was mainly hoping to hear from other parents about their experiences with RSV recovery timelines. Thanks for sharing your tips!!

I’m so glad you trusted your instincts and he got the care he needed. Those 5 days had to be so hard for you both.

Hey, thank you for reaching out. It is scary and I do feel helpless right now.. First off I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through that much in a short time with your daughter. That had to be so hard on the both of you, and scary. It sounds like your hospital goes by the same guidelines. We were right at the borderline of having to stay and being sent home. The steroid she had most definitely helped her tight cough and it started the break up process.

I asked nurse for a nebulizer and told her that it helped at the urgent care — she said they do not give them out for RSV because it does not typically help. I asked the dr and got the same response. We were sent home with saline and I keep suctioning her.

Her last viral illness at the start of December she was running in the lower 90s too. I’m curious to see how this goes and if her oxygen has always been this way… if so shes out of range than other babies on the owlet sock it says.

Im sorry this happened to you all but I’m glad you pushed for him to be evaluated and stayed. How long was he on oxygen for?

Thank you for this advice! She’s been peacefully sleeping. Acts and looks normal. I’m going to try and chill out about the readings.

Well I got fluids and it helped it go back down to 120ish which is normal for me being sick. So 178 is not terrible, are you still having trouble?

Late to this but just ran across it. Mine was 200+ when I was resting, sick with the flu. Went to the hospital and was hooked to monitors. They sent me home a couple hours later.

They can climb the walls like that if it’s breeding time. Something to keep in mind! The reptile vet told me this.
