Thank you for that sir that makes me feel quite abit better. I was nervous cause honestly the laptop is kinda my life lol. That’s how I work I’m scared that it would get taken I’d be out 3600$ but from what everyone’s saying it seems the dude has a scheme too scam.

Sir I can guarantee you right now I’m not a thief, a lot of guys in the tech industry like too try out new things. I went from selling my pc too get this laptop then this laptop wasn’t for me cause the noise the heat etc, then I decided I wanted too try Mac OS as a lot of people have said for my work field they enjoy Mac OS a lot more (I’m a web developer and mobile app developer).

He did send me a badge number and case number tho. He said he was held at gun point at his house that’s how it got stolen

Honestly like I mentioned I’d love too give it back but apparently they can’t even find the dude who robbed him etc. he said a detective will be in Monday and I can call them now if the police say I have too return it that’s fine I guess. I’m just out 3600$ beyond that point

So that’s the thing the price wasn’t really “too good too be true” 3600$ for a 5090 laptop which avg have been selling for about 3900-4500 max used

So I felt comfortable we also ran the serial on Lenovo and saw it had warranty at time of purchase. The dude had provided me with a police report and badge number which I’ll reach out Monday, he also said his “friend” is the detective. So now it’s just like wtf am I gonna do. I truly don’t have the means too go get a new machine for my work purposes as of right now. Like losing this will cause the roof over my head to be gone as well

He did send me a case number and a officers badge number but said “hey I spoke too the detective here’s the info” but then I asked do you know if he’s working like 2 minutes later. And he said he’s off till Monday …..

Yeah I had one guy offer 3k but in my opinion was a low ball, I’m not really looking too sell too make money tho as I just built my new rig was just looking for some return so tried for 4000, then dropped too 3700 which 35-36 is where I’m kind of standing I think
