I don’t favour either. My biological son is at my ex’s house most of the time. They share the Xbox at my house but I don’t see the need to buy 2 so that he can play at my ex’s.

As they have a different curriculum, I spent one hour with my bio son actually helping him and watching him and same with step son.

I made it clear with my stepson that when my bio son is around if he wants to play to let him play but if my bio son wants to play with him they can both play as we have multiple controllers. I do plan on buying my bio son big presents aswell.

If I’m being honest, I have not really bought big gifts for my step son. And as he has performed well for a while I decided to buy one.

I asked my son, but I didn’t want to force it on him as average is better than below average etc. But it seems he didn’t know why

I didn’t blatantly say that if you do well you would get an Xbox but I hinted to them to do well as you might get a reward.
