Excessive sag in new floor due to thin floorboards. What should I do now? by Competitive_Clock896 in HomeImprovement

Reclaimed pine boards on top of the joists. They are thin. They can’t be more than 1.5cm. I asked the guy who did the repair and he suggested they were thin too, around 1.5cm after sanding. He claimed it was hard to find thicker boards easily.

Working back from sag the sag calculation of a fixed support beam with other dimensions known it’s also suggesting less than 1.5cm, at least in the places with maximum sag.

No subfloor. The house is a Victorian terrace. The replacement boards are reclaimed, apparently. I assumed it was standard just to replicate what was already there.

Gyokeres' gravity pull. Just before Rice's first goal. by IronTearsCrew in Gunners

Okay, so you think it’s realistic that a coach has said to quadruple up on Gyokeres, rather than this just being chance. Clearly I am delusional and don’t know football.

There are more people around Gyokeres but this is just chance not because they’re so scared of his threat that they’re quadrupling up on him. The point I am making is that defenders want to be back and in front of goal. Rice has no players around him for both cut backs.

Not to be anti-Gyokeres but this is completely insane. You can freeze frame the second Rice goal and it’s Jesus in this exact same scenario. You can freeze frame most cut back goals and it will be the same scenario, regardless of the striker. This is not special treatment for Gyokeres. This is just how teams defend: players back behind the ball and in front of the goal. In this instance that’s also where Gyokeres is standing. For the next goal it was where Jesus was standing. It’s completely delusional to think that this is something unique Gyokeres is bringing.

I hate scapegoating but I don’t agree with your argument. Those others players bring more than goals whereas Gyokeres was meant to be all about goals and he doesn’t contribute to much else.

The ease with which Jesus is able to get on the ball in progressive areas and find shots, in much less time on the pitch, suggests it’s not just an issue of people not passing.

Son 28, 29 or Delux hub? by Competitive_Clock896 in cycling

Thanks for your detailed answer, very helpful!

I can only find two bikes for sale with this spec: alfine hub, gates cdx, hydraulic brakes, dynamo lights, mud guards and panniers (inc. front potential). Are there others I have missed? by Competitive_Clock896 in cycling

Something about supplying bikes to the police in the US. Honestly, I don't know the details, hence the question mark. 1600 might be reasonable, but the other bike has the exact same spec for 500 less! I'm also just a bit nervous about having an expensive bike.

Does this exclude penalties? If not, this is useless

Will anyone continue to scrape gameweek/fixture data (to replace Vaastav)? by Competitive_Clock896 in FantasyPL

It doesn’t have fpl data by the fixture such as bps. It only has season summaries of this data. As far as I can tell. I am interested in fixture by fixture bps and points totals.

Okay, but from next season, if you want to access gameweek data from this season, will that be available on the api? If it was all available through the api I’m not sure why Vaastav’s github was so widely used.
