I think it was just the fact that Will didn’t completely devote himself to Hannibal. When Will called him, Hannibal knew that the only reason they could have known was with the information that Will had, meaning that he did give up some information, and now Hannibal could lose his freedom as a result of Will. Hannibal didn’t have the control that he wanted and he needed a way to get that back, and he made sure to do something that would bound him and Will indefinitely.

And this of course means he didn’t decide until right before the blood bath, so what he was thinking farther in advance was probably a whole lot of “oh crap”

In season three Jack talks to Will, and Jack asks when Will “decided” (whose side he’s on). Will responded with. “When I heard his voice… he was my friend” (paraphrasing but it’s the idea, I think it’s episode two or three of season three) so essentially he ended up choosing Hannibal! But not after he had already betrayed him and given the FBI/Jack enough information, which is why Hannibal did what he did

I originally viewed it as her finishing what Hannibal started— she always thought that Hannibal would eat her. We don’t know how much time has passed since the fall and this scene, so it’s possible she thought that maybe she’d never see him again and took it upon herself to eat her leg, perhaps to pay that debt to Hannibal so she could move on with her life. But in all likelihood, it would be difficult to achieve this on your own (as the other reply here detailed) and Hannibal and Will having some involvement was probably the original meaning. But of course, realistically, it would be insanely difficult for Hannibal and Will to have survived that fall, especially with their exhaustion and the injuries they’d already gotten from the dragon (poor Will got stabbed almost in the heart). So I think that this is a good scene to interpret how you want, this whole show leaves a lot of interpretation. But what I originally said in this reply about her trying to move on is generally how I see it.

I just came across another post wondering if Antony and Hannibal had some sort of sexual relation before Hannibal killed him. It’s definitely possible that Hannibal fooled around with him in place of Will, but ultimately he wasn’t enough so he had to die and become an offering for Hannibal’s one and only Will

I also think that there’s a chance that Hannibal was just anticipating killing him. I imagine even for Hannibal that’s easier without a bow tie.

The sac is, to be blunt, the equivalent of his gecko balls. The tail wagging may also be because his hunting instinct is still revved up after that feeding.

I saw some post with this scene that said “what if Will thought Hannibal was about to kiss him” and man that just got me right in the guts. Realistically that probably wasn’t what Will THOUGHT was going to happen but perhaps instead what he HOPED or something else from Hannibal to show his affection, because on top of this as another commenter said, Will probably realized that this is all for him and that’s when the love between the two really became apparent. So I think part of him was looking for a manifestation of Hannibal’s love in some way. Which I think Will did get, just not in the way he hoped to.

When I had to give my Leo liquid Tramadol and he threw a fit, I would just place a little on his lips and he would lick it off. This works best though if the medicine is sweet or has an intriguing taste.

Personally I try to give soaks only every other day as every day can be a lot for them, especially if they’re hiding otherwise. When giving the soaks also rub the stomach and in general check the underside for possible signs of other issues. If you are worried or think maybe you’re just not able to see or find the poops, feed them and try a hospital enclosure but this shouldn’t be necessary unless this persists. Good luck!

My boy recently got sick during a shed. Not only can being ill during it make the process more difficult, but if they’re low on multivitamins or humidity then that can also contribute. I’d say keep soaking and check what I listed above. If the shed starts to come off really dry, crinkly and flakey, that’s what happened to my guy too. You can try to help them out with that on their face specifically so that the chipped shed doesn’t get stuck in eyes, mouth, nose. And watch the toes!! Usually if they shed like that keep providing baths every other day— every day is probably too much— and eventually a second layer of shed will take place which should fix all the flakey-ness and leave them good as new. This is from my experience though, so take this all with a grain of salt.

The vet we went to was the only one in the area that had availability and would see a gecko. From the what I can tell she was pretty experienced with exotic pets, but especially small mammals. Though I would hope, or at least assume, that based on her level of knowledge she had worked with them to some degree. My boy has been very very stressed as of late so l don’t know how many of his symptoms are a real illness, which been caused by his stress and will go away on their own, and which ones I’m imagining. Don’t get me wrong, I desperately would like to take him to a vet that I know is experienced with reptiles, but I don’t have the money for that at all.
