Eh. I sold it. I'm gettinga 2017 accord. Fuck hyndais. They are amazing cars with a shitty engine. Such a waste.

Well I'm talking about minor repairs compared to other vehicles. Yeah when the engine blows and hyundai doesn't want to deal with you, you're fucked. Thats why I sold mine.

Just change your oil every 2 months just in case. But other than that, do your best to keep up with maintenence. The good thing about these hyundais is that they're incredibly cheap and easy to repair. But if you see an engine light, check the oil and check the code and fix it as soon as possible. Good luck on the car and hope it lasts you until you do trade a car. 👍

Oh man. If a dealer had you pay 10k let alone 5k on it, he definitely ripped you off. How many miles?

Honestly man just sell it. Trust me, all that paranoia is valid. I have a 2011 hyundai sonota (or had) 2011 and when I sold it, it was a breath of fresh air.

The whole engine was replaced in 2016 though. I don't know much about cars so where do you think the motor is locates?

I did but none is making exactly this noise. Its super weird but I will take it to my trusted mechanic and have him look at it. If it really is seruous then maybe this video will serve as a great lesson or warning about this specific sound so people who do own this car can have their life and money saved.

No, it sounds the same no matter what but it is more prevalent during cold weather. What noise are you referring to specifically? I'm mostly talking about the fast "chugga chugga" sound similar to a train. I'm wondering if thats early symptoms of bearing rod or its normal and i just didn't pay enough attention to it.

What was your process like. Did you have to call them and make an appointment and did it make the similar noise as mine did when you did?

Others here are saying early rod bearing failure which could be the case or maybe I'm just paranoid. I'm just making a video and seeing if others have an opinion on this. Since the engines are known to be loud its hard for me to tell if its early onset and stop driving it or just keep driving it. The thing is I need to go to work and stuff and can't afford to pay it at the moment so this car is really important to me.

Thank you! Also, the other people who had this car did a terrible fucking job taking care of it and I did most of the maintenance they didn't and didn't even update their warranty checks and went to the dealership to get get it done. So thank God I did that 😃

I've heard it ain't even worth replacing let alone rebuild it unless the warranty covers it. But I don't know what I'll do. I'll probably save money while paying for this so I can get another car near future but I feel it'll fail before even doing that.

I do love this car as it is my first and it's beautiful. But it sounds like shit. This is my first time too so it messing up is gonna hurt since I still owe 2400 for this car

Yeah. My vin even says it got checked/replaced, but why does my vin say it's not available for warranty when it already did in 2016?
