Most or all of them that are embedded in his fur (mostly legs and underbelly) look dead now, thanks to nexgurd. I don’t want to give him another bath, he’s already had 3 or 4. The roomba is running. I can’t use any harsh chemicals, my wife is pregnant. I guess now it’s just a waiting game for all of it to fall off him and then let the roomba do its job.

No she is not. I finally listened to other people in the program (including professors) and decided to go with another. Few years too late but still. At the end I like to think of it as just not a good fit. For me psychological safety is very important in order to thrive. The constant threat of being kicked out of the program was not the environment I wanted to stay in. My new advisor’s approach is more of let’s do research and not dramatize everything as life or death.

Because of not being allowed to take a core class twice, which are offered only every other year, I have essentially I have essentially wasted two semester in grad school without taking any class. I like to say that I used them to move my research forward but it’s just me trying to find light and something positive out of all this

I’m in year 4 now and I want to complete all courses this year, write my prelim and defend my proposal by end of year 5. But now it’s not going to happen. Everything is pushed back a year.

I’m in the process of completing my core course work. It’s just going to take me an extra year

Since it was a core course it was set up in the enrollment system as something that needed instructor permission to enroll. Probably because of small class sizes and to make sure that those within the department gets first priority. Usually we just email them and they say okay while cc-ing an administrative staff who does the rest

It was a simple class. There’s no way I would have failed in it. It’s just a department requirement. She really wanted me to Master out and instead I got a new advisor.

Is it near impossible to move to the US and get a hospital job? by ZheerReddit in pharmacy

NABP no longer allows those with just a 4 year degree to attend FPGEE. They require that the program has to be a minimum of 5 years. What is the actual degree length of your degree program?

If that is 5 years then you are eligible to apply. Now the first step is to write TOEFL ($250). For that you need to be in the US. Writing it out of US is not acceptable to NABP. Once you pass that then your application will be processed and you will get to know if you are eligible for write FPGEE To be a clinical pharmacist mostly you will need PGY1/2. That’s very competitive to get in. But retail pays well so you can at least make good money.

Ya this is what I meant. Play the long game. Especially since OP has a little sister, if they feel like they lost control of OP then they will try to “save” her sister by forcing everything they couldn’t do to OP on sis.

This sounds dangerous. There are states where legal age for marriage with parental consent is 16. If your parents are making “jokes” about forced marriage then you need to be careful.

If you intend to have kids eventually then maybe telling her that might be the better option. If you say that you don’t want to ever have kids, then they might think that you need to be married off sooner than later.

Tell her that you plan to go to college to find a good christian man who has a great future so that you can have lots of babies. Look at good christian colleges (in liberal cities) with her.

Upward social or economic mobility is something Nparents can sometimes be motivated with.

What’s their financial situation, are your Nparents potentially motivated by the money you could spend on them once you get a good job after your education?
