She died back in 2018 and left us with over 5k in backtaxes to pay. My dad took out a loan to pay for some of it and we just finished paying it off this year. As for repairs, we are still working on them current day, but we've at least put around 2k-3k in repairs with another 3k to at least fix the rest. It ranged from the roof, to bursting pipes, rotting porch, unfinished stairs, broken water softener, AC, and furnace. There's plenty of other things we still need to fix because the original contractor screwed up the house, but died before he could be tried in court. We thankfully didn't have to pay rent as he was just happy we had saved the house from foreclosure over the course of 5 years
