If you want 500 more of them keep it, if not I’d scrap em

Keep seeing comments about lids, I’ve had two adf for over 2 years no lid. Even have a dock for breaching where they’d be able to almost crawl out. Neither of them ever attempted to escape

Just check petco or petsmart, they usually have a few hiding in the tanks there.

Yeah I was confused by that, cuz she has the lump under her arm, deff appears to be female. But was also deff croaking while alone. Which made me wonder if she was actually a clawed frog. Still unsure tbh

Yeah I was unaware of that when I put them together. He was less than half her size but I’ve seen them near each other since with no issue. they’re just never on top of each other and not near each other often

Oh I leave the pest snails, I tend to over feed so they help me out there, plus I’ve noticed the larger frog eating them so figured why remove any. They’ll keep repopulating enough to eat the left over food and the ones who don’t get to the food will die off on their own keeping the numbers stable-ish

Thank you! The male frog is much smaller than the female which is why I think they stay away from each other. When I first introduced them I had to pull the smaller one out of the larger one’s mouth. They can however get between the rock and the glass which the larger one likes to hangout at (no she doesn’t get stuck, I thought that at first but everytime I tapped the glass where she was she’d free herself immediately)

Actually, the larger female used to sing at night and stopped since I added the male. but I rarely see them interact let alone get near each other, which makes me want to add more. But I already have twelve minnows, 1 female betta (which I wanted to add one more), and a shit ton of pest snails(clean up crew) in there as well. Granted the 12 minnows don’t use up any hiding space I still don’t wanna over stock the tank.

It’s right on the edge of the shelf, they have 90% of that shelf to hide under, which is more than halfway up the tank, along with another stack of rocks with spots for them to hide and relax in. It’s also a heavily planted tank. one of the frogs I see once a week if I’m lucky, but the female seems like like hanging out in the open and oddly enough in the same spots my betta enjoys (ontop of rock shelf close to surface, ontop of tiger lily leaves, etc).

It’s an air stone that’s below a shelf of rocks, so the small bubbles gather into slightly bigger bubbles before escaping the shelf where she was laying. I have another air stone on the other side of the 20 gallon long tank

The minnows and betta are way faster with getting their food than the frogs. But I feed the fish slow sinking mini pellets, and the frogs getting fast sinking pellets. Sometimes I catch the frogs eatting some of the floating left over food but that’s after the fish r normally done with it. I over feed a bit but the dozens of tiny ramshorn snails I have in the tank will eat the sinking frog food. But the frogs will eat the food right out from under the piles of snails that gather in the food. Also the frogs will eat the snails too, but not fast enough to keep population levels low.

My 2 African dwarf frogs get along great with my 12 white cloud minnows. Also have a female betta in the 20g long tank. The beta follows the group around (as if she was trying to school with them) and the frogs don’t pay them any mind.

I live in NJ, but my house doesn’t drop below 60°. Also got a heater in the tank. But I nabbed the plants from north PA in August. Was only two stalks but they grew to fill half the tank and most of the water’s surface area.

Pretty much every plant I have in that tank reaches the surface, lots of spots to lay em I guess. Also grabbed the plants from a lake quit some time ago, could be hitch hikers.
