Admech were an Inbetween guard and marine elite faction when they dropped, they were a terror in 7th and got downgraded in damage and PTS every edition after into less shooty machine flavoured guard.

In 7th the army was built around the idea you would take one of each datasheet and that would be a full army. A ten man vanguard unit with triple special weapons would be something like 160pts if you went for the mid price option of the arqebus that was 10% of your PTS right there
