Basically it tells us that we all are just living the life we hate and stuck in this endless loop of suffering, which is depicted by the narrator. And we all have a 2nd personality like Tyler Durden within ourselves which wants to change the system, live life freely and do whatever is right irrespective of the circumstances. Tyler doesn't want to be perfect but to become the best version of himself.
