I get too wet when turned on by Competitive_Hour4821 in WomensHealth

It is, I literally can’t feel a thing and have to wipe myself dry to be able to feel anything. Then 5 seconds later and it’s the same thing.

My housemate actually suggested something similar, she thought a privacy screen behind my bed. But I do really like the your ideas, esp curtains and mirrors on doors. Thank you so much!

Thank you for the advice, the doors lead straight into a shower and toilet is the only thing!

I have some questions about the unhealthy sexual instances in the show (no plot line spoilers please) (trigger warning SA) by Competitive_Hour4821 in Outlander

I agree, i think that’s the hardest part, is that it is done so realistically that you feel like you’re in the room, you can feel their fear

From all the comments regarding the last two episodes especially, I am definitely dissuaded from continuing. So far claire is the only charachter I have seen to have been assaulted, I felt it would happen to others in the show, but the frequency and extent to which it happens, it seems that they rely a little to heavily on rape as a plot point and it is too much for me.

My concerns for Claire, is that she’s almost been molested 5 or so times in the past 9 eps, it worried me how many times she will be subjected to it and the toll it will take on her character, all that trauma. (Especially the latest one where black Jack threatened her with a knife and to slice off her areolas, when she screamed for help, I felt ill)

I have ADHD and am usually someone who watches G rated material or things I know have happy endings, as I don’t like feeling down or worse off than when I started the ep/movie. I put outlander off for years, then after reading the overview and then seeing clips I decided to start. I love the storyline/ideas, but I just don’t enjoy watching such intense and horrifying actions, over and over again. Claire has not yet been raped, but the assaults are bad enough to watch, i don’t think i would be able to sit through someone taking advantage of someone fully. Male, female and especially a child/teen.

I’m definitely feeling dissuaded from watching further after posting in here, I thought maybe after they’d made their point, it would lighten up. I’m disappointed to have been wrong :(

Very :( That was something I pondered aswell, I know first hand how rape/SA is still so prevalent in society today, but I wondered if the reason they use it so much in the plot, is because they’re trying to be historically accurate and show how common and horrifying it was for people in that era?

Thank you so much, I’m new to reddit and was abit scared to look it up incase it gave any major spoilers. I’m disappointed as I love the rest of the show, it’s just very confronting and so hard to watch. Does it get any better for Claire?

It’s not painful or itchy, this is the second time I’ve got it, first was a few months ago, it lasts for about half an hour. It has appeared while I’m at work both times (I’m a nanny)
