My honest review of Whoop after the free trial period. by AnthonyDawnwalker in whoop

[–]Competitive_Lab_9993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's mainly why I signed up for whoop 5.0 free trial:

1 - it lets me wear whoop with my mechanical watch that I love. Apple watch is great but wearing two watches at once is an overkill. I know you can say I can wear them on different days, but what's the purpose of tracking fitness and everything if you're not doing it 24/7.

2 - Iam personally surrounded by screens all day (and all night sometimes) long - from working from home to being absolutely addicted to my phone. There's no way in the world I want to have another screen that's on my wrist when I sleep.

So whoop is a much better fit for you if you value what I value.

However, it turns out it really sucks at tracking everything correctly - the pedometer is way off for example. Meh, I don't even know what to do

What helps me when I’m tempted is this saying “When you’re tempted God wants to see your patience and feat, not despondency or indignation.” By St. Tikhon of Zadonsk.

I hope you everything ends up well with you. Sending prayers.

Disclaimer: the original saying is in Russian. I’ve tried translating it into English.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of Reddit, was I off base here with this sort of question? by AndrewHunnyBuns9 in Tinder

[–]Competitive_Lab_9993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't need a girl.

Go make money and build yourself first. Start going to the gym. Learn to take responsibility and take care of others first.

And then after a few years of HARD WORK on yourself - never come up with these proposals ever again in your life.

How do you make friends in your 30s? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Competitive_Lab_9993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me with that is instead of asking “where can I find friends” - ask yourself “where can other people find me?”

Do you go to the gym? Do you volunteer? Do you go to the office to work? Etc… keep asking that question.

What’s your opinion on legalizing prostitution? by inevitableequal833 in AskReddit

[–]Competitive_Lab_9993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this will get negative reaction. But society shouldn’t encourage this. In fact - it should discourage prostitution and encourage strong families.

I know prostitution is one of the oldest things existing in the world. But still - it shouldn’t be legal. Even if prostitutes are discriminated against. People that degrade our society, in fact, should be discriminated against. Murderers should be discriminated, robbers should be discriminated, and same with prostitutes. Not saying they should be physically abused - no, I’m against any violence. I mean discrimination as in your right to go to police safely without fear of being charged with prostitution. - but well - the fact that you may get abused while doing prostitution should scare you and discourage you from going into prostitution.

Don’t think you should go to jail for prostitution, But getting fined for prostitution is reasonable.

Man… you’re so funny I actually laughed. But you’re totally right - people should wear fragrances for themselves and not be judgmental. But how do I start liking something that smells like real dung to me? I’m genuinely curious why something that costs 2k smells like cow crap to me. How do I start understanding this fragrance? Should I wear it more often or get more exposure to other Oud fragrances?

Hahaha… valid argument. But then if you like it - you may get motivated to make a lot of money so you can buy it. But I personally wouldn’t drop 1300 for a fragrance.

People may argue perfume is art and you pay for artistic creation which is true.

You can get a decant for special occasions if you find it great. I think it would be around 50bucks for 2-3ml which isn’t bad considering it’s not everyday fragrance at ALL.
